It looks fantastic but it says it only holds 2lbs of wet bud? That’s really small in my mind no?? Thanks

Yeah i was rather upset about that too for the size vs price but the next size up can hold 180-720lbs and is a walk in style thats 40k so you dont have many options on a budget. I was thinking depending on my tax refund i might grab 2. 1 for storage and 1 for curing and if needed i could just empty the storage one and use both

Ok so only 4 days each to dry and cure? Does it come out smelling good and tasting good? Not the grassy hills smell and manure taste? Thank you

@Mjm697 not sure if its in this post or not but he did a smoke report and said it was really good. But i believe he said he also did a 12 day dry and cure. Go to comment 9 on this post and youll see an info video about the cannatrol which answers a lot of questions

Ok so , recommended 2.2 wet or up to 4.4 of dry but… If typically you loose 75-80 percent of weight in dry process than you would end up with around about a half pound if you put 2 2 pounds in to begin with right?
Well I just pulled 15 oz out after a almost 5 day dry and 5 day cure . So I must have stuffed it with nearly 4 pounds of wet . Results it is still a little fresh but the smoke is smooth . You do loose out on smell untill you break the but up. The smell you get in normal bud is terpenes escaping . The way the cannatrol works is it’s kinda like sealing up to 60 percent more terps inside the bud . So yes you are kinda loosing that outside smell appeal but your definitely going to make up for in smoothness and taste kinda thing . Also I would recommend setting the cure to run longer than the minimum set default if 4/4. I aim for closer to 5/10 at the default temp of 68 and dew point of 54 which brings humidity to 60.
Only reason I pulled mine out earlier is to put in Grove bags while I cut and dry the rest of my harvest and then will throw it all back in to further cure once all has ran through at least the dry cycle .
So with what I pulled out and gave a few samples of everyone has liked so far . Is a bit fresh and slight chlorophyll smell still but just like anything else the longer you cure the better and but still taste as smoked great .

Man I was so sold until I just read that last post:joy:
I just had a long talk with Ed at cannatrol. As some of you know, the manual, AND most of the publications, just talk about changing the settings. He agreed and said they are working on a more detailed user guide, as we speak. Anyway, i had several questions for him, and he went into great detail answering them all. On any given day, he has 2-3 running at home, and says its been a gamechanger for sure. Now, i dont question one bit, spending that money. Was given numerous tips n tricks as well, so i MAY be able to answer some questions others may have. Possibly loading her up this weekend! Just watching the trikes still.

I did. Drove 2.5 hrs north, to the Grow Depot. Ed actually just called me back, to give me a few more user tips, that he meant to tell me earlier. Im already loving the customer service !

Yeah Im waiting for Monday to talk to him again for a couple questions I forgot to ask. Like how to maintain the sponge. After awhile it starts to get that mildewy smell.
Also if you have to store in open jars or paper bags about how much per he would recommend storing like that. I’m going to take out my second full load tomorrow and put the rest of my harvest in to dry, then throw all back in to cure together for a week or 2 before putting on final hold cycle.
Btw I mistakingly way overloaded and pulled 15 oz of dry and semi cured bud from my first load and it did it’s job. So I wouldn’t sweat that 2.2 wet so much if I was you.

I didnt think to ask about sponge maintenance, or storage packaging inside the unit. We were actually just texting back and forth, but just about our own grows. If you would, let us know what he says. Only thing he said about the sponge, was he submerges it in water, squeezes and releases it to fully absorb, then puts in cup. Doesnt pour any additional, sitting water into the cup. Then just repeats, whenever it says add water. Im assessing my autos as we speak, for what may be a harvest by tommorow.
Side note: ive yet to announce to my wife that i bought one!

Will let you know. I’m day 2 into cure on this load and it doesn’t say add water and is at its set 54 dew point with no issue. I fill the machine though, probably well last the recommended , but not near as much as the first load

He also said, in almost 2 years, hes yet to veer from the default settings, and has no plans to do so. Says 99% of his customer issues he handles, is when they start over tinkering with settings.

Yeah when he called me he said he prefers to keep his at the 54 dewpoint even in cure which normally drops to 52 in cure. So I set mine to stay at 54 also. The only thing I change is how long it dries and cures for. Which you will find out for yourself and adjust accordingly if you want/decide to. Then again you might not, it is still good even at the 4/4. But just me , especially if you load towards or more than the 2.2 recommended and or big , super fat, and dense buds add a little time . 
So far the only person who thought it was to fresh was one of the guys at the local hydro store but he is just one of those types that wants his way to be the best way. He said buy a turkey bag and put it all in there and you’ll be happy. As if I was unhappy or something. The only one that wasn’t appreciative and didn’t want to try it till it dried more. It’s almost as if he didnt want to find out that I just happen to have a nice machine and wanted to down it type of thing. But get his lose , not mine. Everybody, I mean everybody else was like dude that’s fire. I literally just received a text about 10 minutes ago from a co-worker I gave a sample to … Quote… The weed is fire, thank you so much , happy holidays .
