My 24x24 “ tent is two small and I’m thinking of getting a bigger one. I tend to overkill most things so I’m looking for advice. I have a 24x24x48 inch tent now because it was concealable in a crawl space but now growing is legal and I don’t have to be as discreet.
I have aVivosun tent and parts of it would fit a new setup but my lights would need updating. What else would be worth looking into it.
4x4 would be my recommendation, Budget?
How often do you grow?
What are your yield goals?
Been trying auto flowers with not much luck. Have 2 growing pots but things are tight. Would like to grow 3 or 4 plants. Using autopots.
Totally understand that! Are you more after a variety or yield?
Right now I’d just like something to flower. I have auto flowers, Girl Scout cookies and gorilla glue
Gotcha, thought you were looking for set up recommendations.
You can switch into 12/12 to push them in the right direction.
I’m looking for setup info to make tent the best functional setup I can. Sick of failure.
What kind of info? Seems like you want a larger tent, are you looking for recommendations? Light recommendations?
AC Infinity.
It seems steep but by the time you put together a system you’re happy with you’ll have been bled by a thousand cuts and spent more than this ->. https://www.amazon.com/AC-Infinity-Integrated-Controls-Automate/dp/B09WJJDFLS/ref=sr_1_5?crid=C7QFQO8A1EWZ&keywords=ac+infinity+4X4+kit&qid=1691636681&sprefix=ac+infinity+4x4+ki%2Caps%2C144&sr=8-5&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.ac2169a1-b668-44b9-8bd0-5ec63b24bcb5
Yes, lights Heat, humidity anything useful.
I’ve already spent a ton what’s a few more dollars. I never dreamed how difficult this would be.
Tbh bro it sounds like u just need to do more research start watching YouTube videos man those guys are sponsored by grow companies and offer advice on equipment as well as helpful grow tips for beginners im into my first harvest and tbh I thought I’d be in your shoes but I’ve made sure to do some type of studying of the growing process since I’ve had my seed in the ground…
I have a Covert 3x4 it’s right on nice price real nice lil tent
For a budget setup you can go with a cheap 4x4 or 5x5 tent. Just a frame with mylar walls really. A budget exhaust fan…4-6". Use the rooms temp as your control with good air exchange. A cheap clip on fan for interior air movement. A good light…most important and costliest item. There is most of your budget. Larger than needed preferred with dimmer. Cheap analog timer from walmart. An easy nutrient line. Thats all you NEED for success. As a new home grower the expensive in depth grower bait is not needed. First couple runs are training runs anyway. Crawl, walk, run theory. You will find a lot of thoughts that you need 100%control of everything. In my opinion that is incorrect. I use cheap tent. Midrange fans. Analog light timer…6 bux. I do have an inkbird controller for fans but dont need it. My main expense are the lights. Go best you can. Can get very nice bar lights at reasonable pricing now. Mother nature has controls set up for NOTHING. I grow living soil. Very basic setup. Very successfull continual grows. 200 bux tent and fans/timer. 100-400 light depending on used or new. Fb marketplace is a good source for used GREAT lights. That in my opinion works fine as a start. Cheap everything but light and upgrade as the cheap fans fail. Year or 2 maybe. Good light…5-8 years nowadays. Photoperiod plants to start. Auto when get it figured out. Just my opinion but the proof of concept is in the pudding. Proven tried and true for our medical circle. Lots of differing styles to choose from here. Dont get suckered into all the you need 100% control b.s. I have observed the plants from some of the I bought all the best gear folks. Some cant even match my caveman style grows spending 10 times as much. All your choices in the end. Be smart. Just my opinion.
Checked it out and thing I might order the tent. 3x4 looks perfect.
I have a 2x4x6 and started with 3 plants in 5 gallon pots. It got crowded way quick, 1 Hermed a few weeks into flower. Idk what I would have done with all 3 at the size they’re at now. A 4x4 would be perfect for 4 plants in 3-5 gallon pots. A 2x2 area is pretty good for 1 plant in my opinion.
Check out my pics on here it’s a 3X4
