2x4 vs 3x3 and which light would you recommend to go with it?

First time grower. Not sure which size tent would be easier and there are an overwhelming amount of lights. Could someone recommend a tent/light combo?

Would you rather grow two small plants or one big plant?

I find a 3x3 the ideal size for growing one big plant. Of course it would require using photoperiod plants that you can veg to the size you want.

2x4 is a hard size to work with unless you want two small quick turn around plants. Autoflowers and clones work well since they flower as soon as they can.

I have 3 gorilla grow tents and 2 ACInfinity tents and I prefer the ACInfinity tents because of the zipper.

For lighting it is recommended by many forum members to look at lights with Samsung 301 diodes. Mars Hydro, Spider Farmer and HLG are some suggested brands. It’s better to have too much light that you can turn down than not enough. About 300 watts from the wall would be good for either size tent.

ACInfinity has excellent products and great tent kits, but the lights are a little underpowered for my liking. It would be ideal if you could get them to exchange the light that comes with the kit with one of their professional lights.

I agree with @CMichGrower, AC Infinity makes some outstanding products. Their exhaust fans are a benchmark standard in the industry and their tents are a great value for thier quality. I grow with their Ionboard lights but ordered them seperate vs in a kit. Like @CMichGrower pointed out, they are undersized when in their kits. Fohse, GreenBeams and Kind are a few other names I would throw in the lighting hat. Fohse was striclty commercial but now has a line for home growers.

I wouldn’t buy a combo, just get the stuff you want instead of looking at predetermined packages. And a 3x3 is bigger so there is more yield potential. But you have to consider how you plan on growing to determine what is the best. I’ve seen 8 plants flowered in a 2x4 and 9 plants flowered in 3x3 multiple times, so they’re not as limited as some people think.
