New to growing Very Interested

Hello Everyone! I am new to the subject but very interested in growing. I plan on growing indoors with a 3x3 tent. I have searched some 3x3 tent kits on the net and some of them are pretty cheap in price. Will these work? Is there any tent kits that you recommend for a beginner? I have seen some of them that are complete with everything to start growing. Thank you in advance for all the help!

3x3 is an excellent choice for starting out. The larger area gets expensive to properly light.

I would recommend getting separate items. We can give you a better list of quality items that will be better than what they’re selling as a package.
AC Infinity make great exhaust fans.
Horticulture lighting group is what we recommend for lighting. Unless you want to take the DIY route for lighting. You can save quite a bit if you assemble all the parts yourself. Some people have put together some nice fixtures. We could walk you through the process.
We recommend fabric pots, they breath well, and prevent them from getting root bound.
Nutrients are a personal preference, but a lot beginners use Fox Farms. They also make a great soil. Fox farms Ocean Forest.

The few grow kits I have looked at on amazon come with a light. Is this something I should upgrade?

@Covertgrower I Horticulture lighting. Wow so many choices! I would like to stay under the 500.00 range for my first try at this. Is this attainable without having to build anything myself. If so I would love to have a list. I plan on just one or maybe two plants at a time.

I would not purchase one with a light. I would purchase a better one and only get the tent.

If you can swing getting a 2in1 tent where it essentially has 3 grow spaces even if you don’t use the smaller side right away, you’ll appreciate the additional space as you become more experienced.
I want to pull the trigger on a 2in1 3x4 after taxes come back.

When you finalize your tent size, we can recommend which light size to get. For adequate coverage. There are many members on here with one of many choices from HLG. @jkc

@Covertgrower Would the Topolite 60x48x80 2 in 1 tent on Amazon be ok to start with?

Yes, that was the size I was looking at even for myself.
Click around a bit, and see if you can’t find the same size cheaper. I’ll go look, and post a link if I find something.

EDIT: Nevermind, that’s the model I was looking at and didn’t realize the price went up.

I’ll check back tomorrow. Off to bed. You can tag Myfriendis410 Or MattyBear Or dbrn32 if you need something. They stay up later.
