All in one tent kits

Thinking of setting up an indoor grow tent. I would like some guidance and or opinions on whether to go with an all in one set up or getting the components piecemeal.

Thank You

You will be much better off buying individual components. There are plenty of knowledgeable people here to help you make great choices. :man_mage:

Edit: To get great advice, folks will need to know bit about your objectives, budget and available space. How many plants do want to grow? What growing style are you leaning toward?

Kits usually contain substandard components, particularly with lighting. Fans can be another sore spot. Cheap fans are noisy and inefficient. If you do a kit, then be sure the light is built with Samsung LM301 diodes.

Post a link of the kits you are considering and we can point out the pros and cons of the components.

Those were quick replies, many thanks, I will be going piece by piece. I was leaning towards going that route anyway. My next objective will be to find the right tent. My grow area will allow for a 36" x 36" height can only be 78". I emphasize the height because I have very low ceilings. So everyone my next question will be for tent recommendations.

Thank You.

I was suggested spider-farmer and mars hydro for tents a while back. Ended up getting the whole kit from spider-farmer (was just gona buy individual parts). Super impressed with the quality of the tent itself not to mention the equipment. Happy growing :call_me_hand:

Spider Farmer has been putting out decent lights for a couple of years now.

Consider an ACInfinity tent system, everything is top notch except for average light.

You may need a better light but the rest is good stuff. All you’d need is a humidifier.

I run a 4x2 and 3x3 AC Infinity kits. Can’t complain about anything but the light wattage included in the kits as @Growmoredank stated above. I’m my opinion should have be a 240w in the 4x2 kit and a 300w in the 3x3 at the least.

Just looking at tents alone, what if any are the differences. Material used quality of overall product things like that. I myself see little difference.

The biggest differences are in the zippers and stitching. Cheaper tents have zippers that are more likely to fail. The stitching on the cheaper tents tends to leave little holes that result in light leaks. These are not as much of an issue if you are growing auto-flowers. They are very important you you are growing photo-period plants. The little pin holes can be covered with duct tape. Failed zippers make them unusable for flowering photo period plants.

If you are buying a kit or parting one together my I suggest a bug zapper.
I haven’t seen one yet in a complete tent setup but once I placed one in my tent the game changed. No more pesky pest invading my green fields.

This unit works well and uses 60 UV LED strips. So you’ll be adding UV 395nn and eliminating bugs. Also can kill mold and other airborne pathogens.
