Shopping for a tent

Hey folks, looking for advice on purchasing a tent. I was set on buying an AC 3x3 or 2x4 kit but when I asked if I could upgrade to one of the err better lights, ACI wouldn’t accommodate. I’m sure their kit will grow some weed if I do my part but I won’t be satisfied unless I get a better light.

I’ve looked at this:

Any experience with this brand and its components? Not sure what kind of controller or if there is one included.

I want to able to control the lights, humidity and temperature. My house stays around 75 degrees and 55% humidity.

Any help for this newb is much appreciated.

I’d personally go for a 2x4 with 2 - 200w lights. Be good for 2 plants.

I have a 2x4 and it worked great but my first grow due to my lack of knowledge the plants (2) grew so fast I had no room so I went bigger 4x8

What is the biggest space (lung Room) you can control?
Lung room contains tent and working space.
The biggest tent with most height as you can accommodate.
Lights take top space (no grow area).
Potted planters, take bottom space (Minimal use for grow area)…
How much room for plant to grow and flower?
Interesting parameter for your consideration.
Its addicting, choose wisely for investing.

In defense of any seller, package deals are priced and changes present challenges and costs.
AC-I products (fans and controllers) are great (I use them).
Lights are HLG’s business.

Agree with @Borderryan22. I run all 2 x 4s with one 3 x 4. I can push 400 watts but never have. The coverage is corner to corner with 2) 200 watt fixtures :love_you_gesture:

I like 3x3 myself if staying small. The shape suits me. A good bar light will fill 1 perfectly. TALL. I personally would just buy a light for size you want. Good 1. Then a tent…can skimp a bit. Not the light. A fan. Some meters. A small fan for airflow. Can just shoot it at back wall if doesnt oscillate. Plenty breeze. Your done. My 3x3 has been up years and performs many duties. Complicated isnt always better.

As much as I absolutely love my 350r, I almost want to put the Diablo200 and my Viparspectra P1500 (old model) in the closet (3×3.5). I’m hitting front to back just fine, the light is 3" from the wall and 3" from the door. It’s side to side. I’m pushing the footprint limit, but the 2 smaller lights, turned sideways would get that a little more even. But dadgum if the 350r doesn’t shine!

Right on, I still have my 3) 200 diablos and damn those little gems put out some light. Two of my 2 x 4s have the newer ACI 280 Evo with 1) 200 Diablo in each. The absolute best wall to wall coverage comes from my Kind 420…the fixture barely fits in the 2 x 4 :love_you_gesture:

As far as the brand goes i wouldn’t be concerned at all! ACI ( from my experience is a quality company.) Products have been great with no issues. My besty has thier 3x3 kit without the light and uses HLG 260xlr in his 2x4 tent and a 260w in his 3x3. I have used the HLG myself but if replacing id be hard pressed not to choose anything from them as they have earned my respect.
