Thinking about buying this grow tent

Have been looking at grow tents thinking about going with this one looking for reviews and suggestions n do you all think it’s a good setup they are asking 700 for it.

You will need a lot more light than the one included in the package.
I would suggest 500 - 600 watts for that space.

@merlin44 do you think it’s a good tent n worth the price

I wish that I could give you a useful answer on that @Edwards.

I don’t have much personal experience with tents and none on that tent. That said, many folks have reported good experiences with the Vivosun products.

Typically, even the most expensive tents are not a huge expense compared to the expense of properly lighting the tent.

Perhaps @dbrn32 or @OGIncognito or @Borderryan22 will chime in. :wolf: :vulcan_salute: :man_mage:

I have an 8 X 8 Gorilla tent that cost me ~$1k and I spent about $2200 for lights. That tent and lights have been idle and never used. The point is the lights are the bit expense. I also purchased ventilation and A/C for the big tent that sit idle.

My growing is all in my “stick built” 8 X 8 grow room.

For the same price you can get the AC Infinity 3x3 full kit. A little smaller, but definitely better quality all around.

Thanks for the info @merlin44 and @Borderryan22 you think the infinity is a better deal i like the extra space with the 4x4

I never really liked the kits, they come with a bunch of crap you don’t need and the lights are usually underpowered.
If you really need a ready made kit spider farmer has a 4x4 with a 480 watt light that my buddy has had good luck with.
I choose to just buy the parts that I wanted so I wouldn’t have to replace them right away.

I agree with @JPhoenixX. You will end up with a better setup if you purchase each item for its specs rather than using a packaged deal put together for maximum profit for the seller.

I just read in another thread that a member is having trouble with vivosun customer service on a product that’s just a country days old. Additionally, a 200 watt grow light isn’t big enough for a 4x4 when growing cannabis.

I agree that piecing your grow together will give you the best value to performance ratio.

Okay thanks it doesn’t have to be a kit trying to figure out what would be the best setup for a 4x4 so u say the spider gave better results than the other 2 @JPhoenixX

All of the great growers here will be excited to guide you as you put a great grow operation together. Don’t get too excited and purchase a bunch of stuff that will sit in the closet and collect dust.

Spider farmer has a 480 watt light which I would say is bare minimum for a 4x4.
My buddy is only growing a few autos at a time so it works well for him. It all depends on your goals and budget

I run a se3000 in my 3x3.
I would need more watts if tent was bigger.

@merlin44 haven’t thought about the price just trying to get the best setup for a 4x4 n the best lighting for it going to use 5 gallon pots for 2 plants

Take a look at AC Infinity tent - pick a size.

Look at HLG or AC Infinity for lighting - minimum 400 watts, 500 - 600 best if you are thinking 4X4 tent.

If you have some electrical skills or are willing to learn, you could build you own lights.

Exhaust fan and filter.

pH and TDS pens.

I’ve had trouble with their controller it won’t hold calibration, but for others it works great. I haven’t had a problem with the tent or exhaust fan.

@merlin44 thanks for that info that’s what I’m looking for a good setup so 600 watts will be enough for that area

Yes, if you really are serious about growing great buds, then 600 watts and good temperature control along with good watering and feeding practices. 450 to 500 watts would do but I always blast my pants with light.
