Spiderfarm any good?

Slowly putting together my tent. Have Gorilla 4x4x8 and have the AC Infinity T6 on the way. Now I’m looking into lights and was curious about the Spiderfarm SF4000. Anyone use these?

Welcome to ILGM forum. I know there are several people using SF4000 on forum. @MoBilly @DefNSmokn have them I believe.

I have a few sf lights not the 4000 though, but I know that the new configuration of the leds they did really spread out the light making the footprint perfect for a 4x4 tent. I have a buddy with 2 of the old style and he loves em and he gets some nice growth under them. I would check out the spider farmer site though I got an email the other day that the 4000 was on sale for I believe it was 450 bucks

By the way welcome to the neighborhood

Spider Farmer’s have come a long way with the SF series. Yes, they are decent lights built with quality diodes.

Thanks. Unless I find something I like better before next month, I’ll most likely be getting these. I haven’t heard anything bad. Right now I’m doing outdoor. Just trying to get things setup for winter so no rush

Loving my Mars Hydro FC series, great bar style that distributes light evenly. Setting up a 8x16 room as we speak and will be filling it up with them. If I had the cash I’d do Chilled but too rich for my blood at the moment.

If you can swing it, and want to stay with spider farmer, go with the 7000

Wait 4x4x8? So 2 of those sf4000?

No complaint about the light that sucker produces. I am talking with Reuben about the dimmer. Its calibration is way off. I have it covering one purple kush. I forgot to turn it down during week 5 of flower and now it is foxtailing like I have never seen before. I think it was a combination of higher summer temps and LITTLE too much light for too long. Now I know.

I thought the 7000 was not using samsung diodes

@dirtydave
I didn’t think this was something I’d have to look up. I’m glad I did. No they are NOT Samsung diodes. Thanks. Makes me wonder why they’d skimp on their higher end lights. Hmm. Maybe it isn’t skimping, but I know nothing about seoul diodes.
