They r good but if ur gonna spend that much u might as well go for a hlg and get the best for the buck. Sf is good will do a good job but hlg will be better. If u have the budget id get hlg instead. Ull be way happier in the end. I am so far and its not even close to the end lol.
So far the spider 4000 is working well here…

I have one as well, works well. it has all the fancy component names and have zero complaints.
I, too, use a SF-4000. No complaints, but ive never used HLG or any others, so I have no data to personally compare as this is my first grow. I can say it gives me no issues, and was out of the box, hung up, powered on in less than 5 minutes. Good customer service as well.

Maybe @dbrn32 can explain the differences between hlgs and the sf in terms we all can understand. I know hlg uses some of the best chips and drivers puts out a better light spectrum than most. Im not knocking any lights at all but just stating that the hlgs are some serious lighting.
No them were from the old lights forgot to take them down and i can barely reach with the net there to take them down lol so i saif f-it and left them for now.
According to claims they are pretty close. Some models use different drivers, but biggest difference i see is that hlg provides independent third party test results to support the performance of their lights. Spider Farmer hasn’t done anything that i have seen, just unsupported claims at a discounted price.

Welcome to the community I use to HLG 260 R-Spec XL in a 4 by 4 space. For the HLG lights you’re looking at about 725 bucks.
I got 3 from there the 260 xl rspec and it was 992 total with dude discount and military discount.

@dbrn32 already thinking about getting 3 more boards and 3 drivers and making some 320s. What drivers should i get. Hlg or meanwell and what size would best suit them. And should i get new dimmer switches or will these still work with a bigger driver they r the factory sent dimmer knob 2 wire
If you tell me how many of which boards I can find you driver. I typically buy drivers with built in pot. But if you’re using 100k pot that should work for any single driver from meanwell that has 3 in 1 dimming.
