Anyone tried the spider farm 2000 led light?

Has anyone tried the spider farm 2000 led light or any of the spider farms lights? I’m trying to replace my 1000 hps but is some big shoes to fill and a small budget tia.

A few members have them, and they do work, they work well for a budget. HLG still makes a better light.

A 200 watt LED light like the Spider Farmer SF2000 is not going to be a decent replacement for a 1000 watt HPS in terms of coverage, intensity or yield. Really need to be looking at 600+ watt LED lights like the HLG 600 or 650 or a couple HLG 260’s.

What size grow space/tent are you working with?

@Borntogrow use the search feature to locate who might be using that light, and you will get some info!

I have 2 of them and I ran them side by side with my HLG 300Rspecs,and there isn’t a lot of difference the HLG may be better but the Spyders will produce excellent bud too.The HLG is a fantastic light and have become my favorite, but the Spyders are more budget friendly. Buds under them are sticky dank and dense.I am sticking with HLG but I got nothing against Spyders

I just cured 586g I grew under a sf2000 and 2 ol 600w blurples 113w each actual. Before I bought the sf I was curing average 120g under the 2 blurples. Just bought a second sf2000 and started my next round I’m hoping for the same increase. Sf uses the same parts as some of the upper grade lights companies

I am doing my first grow using the SF2000 in a 2x4 tent. At 30 inches with the dimmer down to 50% I scorched my seedlings. Seems like a very well made product and has great results on YouTube.
But next time 25%

My sf4000 arrived today. Going to use it on my next grow. Used hps for years so this will be interesting. Wouldn’t have bought it if I hadn’t seen the results some here have had.

Don’t hold it against them, they mean well…

All there!

Decent construction, the plate looks to have enough mass. The dimmer function is interesting, I wonder how far from linear it is…

Nice @GREANDAL I would rather have the 4000 than the 2x sf2000 I have. I bought one to grow In my closet 2x6 and liked It enough to buy a second one and a 4x4 tent to put em in. I’m on my first grow in the tent so I don’t have any results to share

This is my third grow with the SF-2000 in 4X4x80 tent. This time I am going nothing but 12 hour light with 4 plants. Girl Scout on back left, Sunset Sherbet back right and in the front 2 super skunks. Had some germination issues so they are a couple weeks behind. The girls in the back started budding the start of week 6. Thoughts on cutting the Big water leafs out so all the bud sights get direct light.

Nice @GREANDAL I can’t wait to see what my tent looks like in a couple months with my two sf. Here’s my closet with the one sf2000 and two 600w blurple lights 113w real power each that I’ve been growing with before

Those blurples work obviously. You’re kicking *ss! I may get a few now they’re giving them away.

Spider farmer uses the same diodes and driver as my hlg so it’s really preference you should get Some awesome bud

I was impressed frankly with the quality for the money. Spent a lot of time reading @dbrn32 posts and wearing my electronics hat. I will no doubt build some but I wanted it NOW iykwim.

The blurple lights are my original lights from a couple years ago when I started growing inside and after some ups and downs I got pretty consistent and would average around a quarter pound per round with the two. These new quantum board LEDs with the wider spectrum are so efficient that you can grow with almost half the watts. I just wish that there was a rule for how they describe lights. It’s a puzzle game trying to figure out these adds for LEDs

I am also buying a SPF 2000 possibly.

Sorry to post on your post but also have a question…

I am running 3 plants, I currently have a MarsHydro T1000 and my plants are in veg.
I have a 36x36x64 VivoSun tent coming shortly and I was wondering if running the SPF 2000 AND the MH T1000 side by side would be a good enough budget /veg flowering set up to get some decent smoke. Any feedback would be great
