Qwet and Tcheck

I am in MD so I have to go to DC and buy it. It is a pain so crowded around here. But I stocked up and should be good for years :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:. When I bought the ST the reclaim was a big selling point.

I had previously tried oil infusion with lack luster results. I tried QWET once, using your air evap method…not my thing.

A few weeks ago I decided to give QWET an honest go and dove in headfirst with the large still from Torr Kitchen. The first units are shipping at this time.

Edit: The Torr Kitchen vacuum still system is essentially a component or modular version of the Source Turbo.

The first video link that I posted shows it running. @DRsDank @Stever

I think it was post #24

Correction…post #23

The video is of the prototype, but the production system is identical other than color and logos.

I just had contact with Troy (inventor and developer of the Torr Kitchen Still). Systems that don’t include the vacuum pump are currently shipping. When folks start receiving their systems, he plans to create some new content regarding use and operation.

Systems which include the pump will ship late in April. Mine has a pump. Rats! :rat:

@DRsDank I may purchase the small system “Receiving Vessel and Lid” for use when I process a smaller amount of wash. Troy says that the individual components will be available when all of the preorders have been filled.

The temperature and duration of your soak determines in large part it’s potency and use. When doing a long extraction you will pull chlorophyll from the flower along with waxes and less desirable oils which adds a nasty harsh bitter taste to the oil. It makes it un-smokeable and is around 750mg/gm THC.

Doing a short wash at temps below -5F for ten minutes will produce a much cleaner extract at around 900 mg/gm. Running the wash through a DE cake with a Buchner funnel will clean it up even more.

I use a Source Turbo for alcohol recovery: it does a good job but you always lose solvent that is trapped in the expended plant material.

Chilled with dry ice for 4 hours, QWET for ten minutes then filtered and extracted through the ST. The last picture shows 5 grams of goodness.

What types of things can be done with final concentrate?

You can smoke it, vape it, use it in edibles or make tinctures. There are likely other things as well.

It will need to be decarbed, either before or after extraction. I will decarb after extraction using the Jar Tech method.

Jar tech method, I will have to search, i decarbed mine prior to wash.

On end product, say you want a tincture, what is process? Really want a non alcoholic infused drink mixture
