Ok, not sure if anyone ventures into drinks but that is kinda where I am going on this, kinda like an ides 100 mg per 13 oun e cocktail.

Ok here is what I have done:

Dercarboxated dried but not cured weed, probably does not matter anyway.

Put in a mason jar and in the freezer at around 0 degrees. Put 190 proof alcohol in freezer as well.

Next day took weed jar and kinda smashed down the buds and brokem up a little with a screw driver. Poured alchohol over, enough to cover, in this case I had 25 grams of bud and 8 ozs of alcohol, covered and gave a gentle shake and a couple swirls and let sit on counter about 5 mins.

Strained into another jar. Now I have about 300 ML of 190 proof alcohol buffered with thc.

Ok so I got this tcheck tester another forum member mentioned to measure thc..

So I was measuring about 13.6 mg per ml and when testing diluted by 3 was getting about 4.2 mg per ml so I am assuming its close. Total solution is 300 ml

About 4080 total thc. Thats what I got but want rid of the alcohol. Anyway I figure about 10 ml to get 100mg and mix in a 12 oz drink.

I want to dilute the alcohol by 50% but it does not evaporate fast or even slow and i did not want to heat and potentially reduce potency so I am stuck for now.

I think I will figure out how to reduce the alcohol at beginning so it does not have to evaporate to get what I want, 100mg per 5ml.

What I have now is a great bar elixr though if you dont mind the alcohol. Even 10 ml is like 100 ml of regular alcohol.

Put in a wsrm spit with a fan blowing on it to help it evaporate. I was told the the sticky tar that will be left over with be 750mg thc per gram

I tried warm water bath in my infuser but it did not do anything.

I have a good elixr, have to figure the alcohol content based on 10ml and 190 proof and compare to say a beer at 12 oz

So i am thinking based on numbers that about 10 ml will deliver 100 mg thc and about same as half a beer.

Hope my math is good

Nice work!
Good job explaining your process
A few pics would be great but only if you are comfortable doing it
I infuse simple syrup and coconut oil for my edibles

Top pic is tincture being reduced for oil infusion then chocolates
Middle pic is culinary ethanol i got through Fedex
Bottom is simple syrup being mixed with 210S and refined RSO

Ok I will upload some pics. You have the ethanol but not used it yet? Did you do the cold wash?

I was wondering if I let mine evaporate, what would I do with the wax?

I reduce mine down a good bit then pour on a silicon mat for a few days and let the alcohol purge out. This round I gathered it up and put in a dab jar. When I make a pan of brownies, I measure out about 1.5 grams and melt into the butter then into the mix. It is versatile for almost any edible you want to make and easy to know the dosage.

After evap you should have somthing resembling shatter. I dissolve it in MCT oil. That can be added to food or just dripped under you tongue as a tincture. It’s convenient and easy to get a consistent dosage.

Finishing off my liter bottles of everclear before breaking the seal on the 5 gallon container
At some point I will have to set up a still to remove the water from the ethanol after I break the seal as I process small batches of mostly 1:1 ratio thc/cbd flower for sleep edibles
The ethanol will sit around absorbing moisture from the air

Last bottle of everclear and some 1g refined rso
Yes i do cold extraction and carbon filtering of flower but the refined rso is great to work with on my bad pain days
I do not like the “plant” taste of most edibles so I strip the tincture of the undesirables with carbon filtering
As i educate myself it is becoming apparent that terpenes are a big part of the medicinal side of cannabis

Picked up some terpenes to work into my products
A little goes a long way
Use a mask and gloves when opening or better yet open outside if possible
The odor can overwhelm
Early stages of learning about terpenes so it will be several months before i experiment
Sorry for being long winded but my infused coffee makes me hyper verbal and scattered
Torn rotator cuff is wreaking havoc

If you are adventurous and really serious about QWET, you might consider a vacuum still from Torr Kitchen. Mine will arrive in the next couple of weeks. If you plan to make a lot of this stuff, you will recover the cost of the still quickly by recovering your ethanol.

Edit: A Source Turbo might get the job done as well.

Thanks I will look into this, I am kinda new to qwet, this was my first try. I will say this method is far better than infusing into oil, at least for me. And end product is clean and smells like quality cannabis.

Let me know how that still works for you, and thanks

When I started making concentrates I was shocked that finding 190 proof alcohol would be the hardest part of the process :joy:.

Fortunately our liquor stores (Oregon) have it cheaper than I can get it online. About $84/gal.
