OK…Here’s the poop, the whole poop and nutt’in but the poop!!! I’m not real good with estimates but if I was ta give it a good educated guess (High School) I would say my Trichomes are: 50% Clear / 40% Cloudy and 10% Amber. Now, if I was to put the girls under a 48 hour long dark spell, will this increase the Cloudy and Amber Trichome percentages?

The reason I’m in a bit of a hurry for harvest is cause my buds are “Foxtailing”! I was told there was good and bad types of Foxtailing. I was also told that the kind I have is “Good” but don’t wanna take any chances!
It will help the plant to kick into high gear to finish. So yo sure will you can do…24 or 32 he’s wil do fine.

Well garrigan62, is there something wrong with wanting to be EXTREMELY sure of my next move? You know I raised these from seed for over 5 months and it is my 1st grow! Sooooooooooo…with that being said, I’ll be damned if I mess anything up this late in the game! Oh…and you must have meant some disrespect otherwise you wouldn’t have taken the time to type your response!
Switch your light schedule from 12/12 to 10/14 and keep them watered , you can feed but if you ready to flush than just ph water them for two weeks on 10/14 and that will help rippen them plus plump up them colas ah little and add more resin trichomes , you can thank me later and 3 days before you cut it to hang put in complete darkness for those remaining 3 days with no interruptions at all , and you will be amazed at the results .

But we can write this off as an misunderstanding and move on as friends or you can do what ever you feel you need to do.

If you trying to get the plant to ripen sooner or faster just adjust your light schedule for the next 2-3 weeks to 10/14 or 8/16 and than 3 days of complete darkness . But why are you worried about fox tailing in your buds if it’s your medicine , unless you trying to supply a dispensary of some sort fox tailing is really not a bad thing in your buds are final yield ?
And just what exactly am I wasting my time on??? You never said??? Maybe if I knew what it is, I could quit?
By asking instead of doing what was suggested . @ Gilly we are some really back wood guys just here trying to help grow the best plant and many times most questions that are asked has been asked thousands of times over , and if many novice beginners would take the patience in time to read , most asked question won’t need to be asked , but Garrigan62 and many others here has been here since the very beginning and you have no idea of how many post , questions , and threads these guys have to moderate on a daily basis , and it’s apart of the responsibility to see everyone gets treated with respect and the help they desire , but for you to respond in derogatory language being directed in a manner of misunderstanding is inappropriate an unnecessary and not tolerated here on the forum , now I gave you my suggestion on how to get the plant to ripen faster that works and has worked extremely well for others , but we are all here to voluntarily help everyone get the best success in they efforts to grow the best medical herb that can be very complex to grow at times , but a simple apology and a little respect goes a long way my friend . The biggest room in the world is the room for improvement and we are all trying to better our advice , techniques , and bud quality every grow and help you reach the same results . Now can you politely explain to me what is the big problem with fox tailing and why your friend encourage you that this is bad , when fox tailing is just a character in the strain or cause by the growing method are even the nutrient mix you used , but fox tailing does not alter or compromise the quality or the potency of your buds unless you supplying a dispensary , but with the right trimming and curing you cannot even noticed a plant had fox tails doing growth , but what is your main concern of fox tailing and I’ll do my best to answer and give my honest open opinion and if I cannot answer it , than my mentor Macgyverstoner can definitely answer it and if not I know Robert can answer it for us all ?
By waiting for responses you should of been making the need changes you asked about , but obviously you did not trust his response due to you simply not knowing Garrigan62 is one of the long time soil mediators and grow support here at ILGM forum as well as Hammer and Majiktoker . But honestly most cultivators here that has the lab member logo has grown successfully and can pretty much give sound advice on a grow in regards or soil , hydro , humidity , Temperture , nutrients , bugs , lights , tent space , HID lights , LED lights etc , but let’s move forward and get you where you need to be in your harvest and figure out this fox tail question you asking about so you can finish the plant and get it harvested , cured and ready to smoke in 4-6 weeks ?
