What’s up guys. I have a strange autoflower GREEN CRACK she’s 150+ Days Old - 22 weeks - Week 13 of flower
She’s a very slow genetic disaster. She vegged for almost 12 weeks. She’s not a normal autoflower for sure.
BUDS OR FOXTAILS
I’m not trying to figure out how to stop foxtails. I just need a couple of opinions if they are foxtails or buds that need finished ripening.
I’ve had plants foxtail before and it’s not a big issue it’s only weed. I’m not quite sure that these are actually foxtails. If these are foxtails they’re the biggest foxtails I’ve ever seen.
She’s ready for harvest her original buds are about 12% Amber but there’s all these new Buds that are about 30-40 days old and they’re fattening up. If these are buds obviously I’m going to let her go. If these are foxtails I’m going to go ahead and chop her.
As I said if these are foxtails they’re the largest ones I’ve ever seen. This plant has been in my tent since November 2023 I just want to get on with Summer
Deep down inside I want to let it go. As you say foxtail or not they’re Biggins. Foxtail is still a bud regardless. Truly just sick of looking at it. 150 days is 50 days too long for me
Yep foxtails Sis, the leaf to bud ratio makes checking the trichomes difficult. I would snip an upper bud and sample. Must be an abundance of the ruderalis trait in that one
I just couldn’t figure it out. Biggest foxtails I ever seen. I’ve been snipping the bud to get inside to the real bud. She’s definitely ready. I might give her another week or two to let her foxtails ripen LOL
Thanks Bud!
It amazes me how many people do not have the patience. We put a lot of work and time into these girls. Let them do their due due diligence and finish to perfection
About a month ago I went away for the weekend and did not water her and she burnt up. All her sugar leaves turned brown and that’s probably what you’re seeing
I just dialed a tent down to 75% and raised the lamp slightly because of some early foxtailing on 1 of the plants. She happens to be the tallest as well so she was closest to the light.
Some strains just do this naturally too (Creature Panic) from Solfire Gardens is one that did this for me each time i grew it.
I actually don’t mind foxtails as long as they are dense and frosty. Whispy larf is…well…just whispy larf lol…not even worth the burn IMHO.
I only really keep the best of the best for smoking…maybe the top 12" of each plant. The rest is processed into concentrates of various forms.
@OGIncognito
I just looked in the tent she’s continuously growing more and more foxtails. She’s ready to go into week 15 flower. She just going to keep producing more and more foxtails as I let her go.
If that’s the case I should just cut her down. She’s only got 70% on lighting. She’s so tall my lights are hitting the roof and she’s 16 in from the light so I know it’s not the light. She’s just genetically screwed.
I’ve got all the patience in the world she’s just becoming a money pit of electricity and use of my tent. LOL
I guess in short, she doesn’t seem to want to ripen what she has she just wants to grow more
She was in the tent for a month by herself and I had her opened up by pulling all her clothes open and tying her off to the four corners of the tent so she got very good lighting all the way through for over a month.
Everything’s nice and hard! I think she’d continue to grow until she fell apart if I just feed her and let her go.
I’ll take another look at her on Sunday. For foxtails continuously get worse I’m just going to chop the whole thing. Thank you for your advice I appreciate you brother!
