I have a question i have 2 200 diablos and a 350r both hlg brand is. It to much light for a 3x3 tent

360 watts is a good minimum.

I wouldn’t attempt to grow 5 plants in a 3x3. Two at best. You only have 9 square feet to work with. That is only leaving 1.8 square feet per plant. That is less that 1 foot by 1 foot per plant.

Regarding wattage - with 5 plants you would only have 72 watts per plant, which is way short of what is needed. Two well lit plants would outperform 5 poorly lit plants in terms of yield. More plants is not always equal to more yield.

My thoughts are 1 plant per light so 4 lights 4 to 5 plants

I would go for 2 plants in a 3x3. Even 2 is pushing it a little.

I have several here in the forum, but it’s been a couple of years since I’ve grown.

Its easy to fill a 2x4 with one plant a 3x3 even without a scrog i think would be no issue.

I still agree with @MidwestGuy Growmie. The 350R is almost 40 watts/sqft. Personally I would hang the 2) 200 Diablos, those little gems are intense and wish they still made them. I’ve had 3 for almost 4 years and still going strong :love_you_gesture:

You can. I am just suggesting that you will get better results with a more manageable number of plants in a small space.

More work, money, nutes. High humidity, higher chance of mold etc etc. Gimme one wopper plant with big fat colas over 1000 buds to trim through anyday.

Have one in a 3x3 in a 6gal with 300watt, 2 fans and all the bells n whistles yada yada.

If i bumped up to 400 watt like you have it would be a monster to be proud of. You’ve got enough light to do your thing tho, but one plant and some LST she’ll be jimungus :love_you_gesture:
