Midwest's 2021 Blue Mystic Grow Journal

Creating a placeholder/journal for the next grow which will be blue mystic. I expect to drop seed within the next 3 to 4 weeks. It is one of my all-time favorite strains. The flower I harvested from the previous blue mystic were stellar! Here’s some sugary bud pics from the last blue mystic grow.

I remember sending a few Nirvana Blue Mystic to @FloridaSon with a light i assembled for him. He was a pretty big fan if I recollect.

It’s my all-time fav strain.

My grows are boring (lol) and I only grow medium sized plants, so I don’t get a lot of followers.

Boring is good, and you are everywhere. You have excellent pic quality too, that may be the reason.

The dome came off today and she is praying to the light.

I harvested my bubblegum so I’ve turned the light down, as you can see there is no space between nodes. Turning the light down will encourage her to stretch out.

Was running an HLG 260. I’ve disconnected one of the panels and am essentially running a 135 above her for now. I backed off the driver to half power. I’ll turn up the light and eventually connect the other board after several weeks when she grows some more.

Transplant day

Praying to the light and as happy as can be. The light was raised to encourage her to stretch out. She’s stretched a little too much, so the power was raised on the light a bit yesterday.

She’ll be ready for transplant into her final home in a few days. Will lop off the first few nodes and bury her up to her neck. Should be ready for a topping in a couple of days. Will probably top her and let her recover before transplanting. It’s best to have her a little root bound so that she has a good solid root ball for transplanting.

Topper her a few days ago and she trucked through it like nothing happened. Will be transplanting her to a 10-gal pot tomorrow. I’m letting her get rootbound so that there is a good, solid root ball to transplant. Being a little root bound is okay. The first symptoms of it is usually slowed growth, and I’m not seeing that just yet.

She looks real good homie!

Went ahead and transplanted her today. The topping was 4 days ago and I never saw any symptoms of stress, so should be okay. She’s in Happy Frog with mykos layered in as the pot was filled. I cut off growth from the bottom nodes and buried her up to her neck. There remains only 1 node below where she was topped. This node usually grows out nicely out and around the plant.
