I currently have a HLG Diablo 200 in a 2x2x4 tent. Super cramped in there.
Looking to change to a 3x3x6 tent, but I don’t want to have to get another light. I’m only looking to grow 2 maybe 3 plants at a time.
I know the Diablo 200 is mighty, can it fill that additional space?

IMO you would be fine with that.
I have a 300r & 350r diablo in a 5x5 sooo yeah can do something there.
I grow in a 3’ x 3’ tent with 1 to 4 plants depending on the grow. I had a HLG 260 for well over 4 years in there. It would do the job, but was lacking a bit. So I updated the old 260 to Rspec boards and added another 260 Rspec kit with UVA-30. I fully expect to use every bit of the new light build. If you go to a 3’ x 3’ tent why are you limiting yourself to only 6’? Mines 7’ 11" tall and if I could have got the 2’ extension in my room I would have. Turned out I was 1" short, lmao
With the diablo 200 I’d stick with the 2x2 and do a single plant at a time anything more space with the light is gonna be weak lighting around all sides of the plant. It will work and grow some. IDs but recommended for a 2x2 area as that’s what the specs cover for flower is 2x2. If u go bigger to the 3x3 if it were me I’d pick up a cheaper blurples or even a cheaper light to make up for what’s gonna be lost upgrading. With led u wanna shoot for 35 to 50w psf of space. 35 being good quality lights and 50 being cheap blurples lights. So a 3x3 I’d run no less thann atleast 300 watts no less than 250ish

That is a logical solution. I’m trying to keep the $$ amount about where I’m at for this hobby.
Height limiting factor is the ceiling. I’m working in an unfinished basement
The thing is the 3 x 3 is kind of the bastard sized tent/space in the grow world. It’s hard to explain. If I had the room I would have went with a 2 x 4 or 4 x 4. 4’ anything is better than 3’ anyway you cut it. So seeing that all I had was 9 sf to work with I had to get all the height I could get. And know matter how you cut it your still cramped in a 3 x 3 space with two, three and four plants unless there little auto’s or historically small Indica plants. One leggy monster sativa is all your going to get in a 3 x 3. But it’s enough tent if you can get height on your side to replicate a out door grow in many ways with one plant. Good Luck
