Ok thanks everyone just thinking about adding a light to help fill out my 4x4 . Have a HLG 300l r spec , flowers a 3x3 area. So I missing about a foot along all the edges. Now I have 2 smaller light viparspec xs-1500, and a spider farm sfd 1000 along the back to cover in gaps. That’s 3 lights just to many cords. Just was wondering what y’all think. New grower still doing autos, from first mix pack order. Just wanted to know what my options are plan to try photos later. Tent is 4x4x61/2 ft thanks

I have the HLG300r & HLG 350r diablo in a 5x5 . I would think the 300r with the spf1000 would be plenty.

If you’re looking for a one cord light with wall to wall coverage an hlg scorpion would fit nice and are fairly decent price if you don’t mind refurbished light you can get a good deal on that with a one-year warranty I think new you get the five year warranty that would be my suggestion if you’re buying a light you don’t want to have to reinvest later or another 300 l would be good lighting only have a couple chords

I think the 150 or 100w with the hlg be enough. Gonna have 6 inches space along wall probably empty so 3.5x3.5 more likely coverage need. 2 cords. If just want a single then several options out there. HLG has great support though.

Yeah any of the light mentioned will work fine im running a hlg 650r in my 4x4 went with that light in case i go with a bigger tent in the future plus its a kick a$$ light

I agree with JJ. Especially if you plan on growing for a while.
I’m extremely happy I made the move with the Scorpion Diablos. 2 of them are rocking my 4x8. The rapid growth after 2 days over the 550 rspec I know I made the right choice.
Knowing that I don’t have to upgrade or wonder “what if” really helps me focus on learning.

I removed my mars hydro lights and put 1 hlg 600r it fits perfect with no blind spots. Just have to manage your canopy so plants dont get to close

Thanks everyone, upgrading and getting another tent will doing eventually, was just wondering about a light for a 4x2 area, like a viparspec older model p-2500, or mars hydro bar light ? Thinking out loud thanks again

If you can get an HLG 650r or Scorpion , you will never need another light for your 4x4. I know it’s an investment but it’s game over. I have a closet full of chinese Amazon lights that I kick myself in the sphincter for every day.
Once I joined here and started reading and learning. The most adamant advice I’ve learned on here was lighting.
Definitely look into HLG

Stronger the lights the bigger the roots and the bigger the fruits , the growth is like night and day , you take one leaf off today 5 more will grow tomorrow, HLG is good but i still believe Apache Techs AT600’s 4 bands is still but thats just my opinion cause ive seen Apache buds and i have yet to see HLG big boards product .
