Need help diagnosing never seen this before

We have been seeing a lot of posts with this recently. It seems to be just pigment.

Dark purple stain on tip of branches

Can anyone identify the stains on the tips of these branches on the leafs. [IMG_1891] [IMG_1893] [IMG_1892]

Concerning development…

This one is developing some grey stuff in the new growth. How concerned should I be. I’m outdoors, Notheast so rain and humidity can be an issue. [IMG_5712] [IMG_5713]
