Purple and yellow on leaves. Help pls

Hey. I was outa town for about a week and when I checked upon returning home, one stem is showing purple/yellow leaves. I’ve never seen the purple before and I’m baffled.

Any ideas on what causes this? So far it’s only one branch. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’m on week 5 of flower. Use fox farm ocean forest and the ph is 6.2. Temps stay between 78-82 with a rh of 50, a bit more than 60 at night.

Looks like the start of ‘the fade’ to me.
As the plant ages it pulls nutrients from the leaves for bud development.
The leaves can turn yellow, purple or even red.

Fall colors looks like. We dont see as much in summer indoor grows but winter usually drops temps in our lungrooms and it shows. Just my thoughts. 60 °at lights off will do it for sure. 65 also.

Okay so the yellow isn’t anything to worry about? If it was just purple I wouldn’t worry but I was thinking the yellow could be some kind of deficiency.

Mine are 4 weeks in and starting to get some yellowing. I don’t really stress over it unless its immediate and extreme.

If your plant is in early to mid-flower, then the yellow is part of the deal. Here are a couple of shots that I took yesterday of my current grow only a couple of weeks into flower.

As you can see from the overall shot of the plant, it is perfectly healthy.

Many growers strive for colors like that during the flowering fade.

I was wanting to have colors come out but I just just worried about the leaves the pic shown. The only other leaves that had yellow were a pair of fan leaves I had lower down the plant but I wasn’t concerned about those. Just never seen purple and yellow before

Thanks Merlin, you a pro buddy

@Putridsmell You May want to raise the ph a tad.
That 6.2 is a touch low for soil. Would be better at 6.5 - 6.8

Cool colours tho. :v:
