Too many yellow leaves during the flowering stage?

Hi. I’m a first time indoor grower of Purple Haze. We started the flowering stage about 2 weeks ago. I read that yellow leaves are okay during this stage, but is this too many yellow leaves? Im stressing.

Hey Mr Vert’s here!

That is a bit too many yellow leaves… do you monitor pH?

Definitely not enough nitrogen. Too late in the game to save those leaves.
You don’t need a lot of nitrogen at this stage, but some. What is your schedule look like?

No sir we do not. We will start monitoring tomorrow after my husband stops at Lowe’s for a pH meter and some nitrogen fertilizer! I hope these plants can be saved.

13 hours of darkness, water just about everyday. We haven’t added any fertilizers or anything. Since this is my first grow I kind of wanted to see how my plants would grow as-is…no added anything…and now I know!! Not the best idea.

Tell him get you a bloom based fert as well. Youre gonna need it!

And pH meter wise, please go digital. The pen check water/runoff style. Those probes arent accurate enough for me. Tbh i love my Apera 20. Gets the job done. Like ~$40 on Amazon

Don’t do that. The meters Lowe’s sells are junk. You need something like this:

While you’re at it pick up one of these too:

If you are going to supplement your plant you need some good data before you do. How about filling this out?

It is entirely possible that you have been watering or the soil is out of PH range and nutrients are currently locked out and unavailable to your plant. If you all of a sudden provide correct PH you can have a nute excess so please wait for good information.

Those yellow/bronze leaves (phosphorus and likely potassium too deficiency) can be removed from the plant. Look to any new growth for improvement when you move forward.
