Light colored leaves in fox farm soil, water only grow

@OGIncognito im still flushing. Im st 8 gallons and ph is at 6.5. Ill do a few more gallons and see where im at, but when i reach a good ph, then i water with my 930ppm solution enough to get a runoff sample hoping to be near that?

6.5 is perfect :love_you_gesture:

Check the last run of PPMs and see where that is before a full dose feeding :love_you_gesture:

Anytime Grow Bro, look into some beneficial microbes for your soil. TPS Billions was what I used when I used soil. They’ll help with nutrient uptake and only need to be added twice a month :love_you_gesture:

Ill have to do research on it as im new to all this chemistry stuffs :joy:

@OGIncognito thanks for your help today. You were spot on. Im there but i have a little more to ask and then i think im ok for a while .
Im not sure how to continue from here. Think im going to wait a little longer than my normal 24 hours before i water again to let it dry out. (Drench and drought) When i do water next, do i go back to just add water or do i need to do the nute water with runoff? Each time now, or every other feeding?

Let the medium get dry before you feed again. Depending on the pot size and plants age, the dry cycle can take 3-5 days for a 3-5 gallon pot. Target the input PPMs at 800-1000 with a PH of 6.5. When you feed check the run off, less than 1000 is a feed on the next round, above 1200 would be a water only next round. Most that use the trio feed twice and water on the 3rd round, just depends on what the previous feedings PPMs were :love_you_gesture:

Fox Farm soils are strong at first but wear out rather quickly. I mix different amendments into mine such as cow manure, lobster compost, and earthworm castings. If you lack experience in fertilizing you may be better off just top dressing with something simple to use such as Coast of Maine stonington plant food. Mix a handful or two into a little bit of half soil half lobster compost (or other compost) and rub it into the top inch of your soil.

A couple months ago i bought 5lbs Nature’s Living Soil but i havent used any yet as im not exactly sure how to apply it to my situation, but im able to maintain with what i just learned from @OGIncognito, using my ff trio for my dwc bucket. If it works like i think it will then things are pretty simple. In the grows ahead i will explore and experiment. Ive had traumatic brain injury so i struggle with focus, memory and confusion. Fir now ill stick with tjis and finish this run before changing anything, keeping it simple.

@OGIncognito by the way, have not watered yet since flush and yet i can finally see my missing trichomes starting to show in many places on and around the flowers. I am a happy man!!

Heres my other one, the dwc. That one might be a week younger than the soil plant.

I’m confused - the title says water only grow but you also say you are using the Fox Farm trio. Fox Farm nutes is definitely not water only, they are very powerful fertilizers.

I use Fox Farm although i use the whole dirty dozen mostly based on the feeding schedule, although I feed fox farm only once every two weeks. I alternate with fully organic products such as Roots Organics Buddha Grow, Roots Organics Buddha Bloom, Alaska Fish Fertilizer, and Medina Liquid Seaweed. This way I do not need to do any heavy flushing, and the occasional heavy downpour takes care of that anyway.

While I do use Fox Farm nutes myself I dont recommend them to beginners as they are more difficult to use than some other ferts and much less forgiving. My first time using fox farm nutes i fucked up my container plants by not phing my nutrient water and causing bad ph swings.

It was a “just add water” grow until I made this post. Did you read all of the comments in the thread? It was water only until this problem was identified and addressed 3 days ago. To resolve it, I had to do a flush and start using the ff trio that I was only using in my dwc, which then changed it to no longer be a water only grow. In short, it was but now it’s not.

I didnt read every single comment in the thread, moreso the first 5 and last 5 which would explain why I am confused. As long as you are pHing your water and going half strength you should be okay with fox farm nutes. I do like fox farm nutes and use them myself just keep in mind that with great power comes great responsibility.
