Having 2" casters underneath makes it easy to move around

4/18 this is Blue day 61. She transplanted well and is liking her SIP home

The dowel on the side is a dip stick to see how much Jacks is in the bottom reservoir.

She needs a little attention. I have to drill some holes in the flange of the bucket to use as tie down points. Her growth has intentionally been kept slow. I have for the most part only used the 64w chilled for her veg light.

But, as usual things are changing. Blue has some company. She is sharing space, until the tent empties out, with four Purple Haze. I was just turning 15 when the Jimi Hendricks song was released. I don’t think I had been introduced to Jane then. But certainly was by his death in 1980. Enough history… They are on day 20 and were transplanted on day 17. They started out fast and I slowed them down by under feeding them and sharing the chilled. Well with getting the new light, the King blurple was freed up so put her to work over the PH. I mentioned under feeding them, Jack’s ppm was around 600 - 800 the last 10 days or so (up from 400 - 600). I now have it up to 1000 - 1200 so they should start to green up and put on more growth. The tent will be available in a week +_.

I appreciate it. Hang’n & chill’n is underrated. Hope all is well. I am jarring up some NL clones this morning. Will post a few pics on the https://ilgmforum.com/t/an-auto-three-photos-and-a-clone thread

4/20 Blue day 63. Gave her the attention she needed this morning. Drilled a few holes for tie downs and went to it. Nothing drastic. Flattened and spread the growth tips out.
A couple of before shots

I have not removed any of the interior extra growth tips yet. Still undecided if I will grow her out or use just for cuttings. I am not ready either way. If I grow her out I still need to remove all of the extra growth. I will do the same if I am only taking cuttings. I am not ready to do that yet.
She is looking really solid and am kinda leaning toward growing her out. Best of both worlds. Bud and cuttings.
A few after photos.

She has 12 mains

Very nice my friend…I’m in the same boat…I have nearly convinced myself to just cut and chuck …but damn, that goes against my grain …must have my mind made up by the weekend …:facepunch::v:

I also cleaned up the other purple kush today. Took off all of the extra growth tips and took her back to eight mains. Now I have all of these nice cuttings that would be perfect for clones…but no way. Not right now.

Doing a few things out in the yard. It isn’t even 40 degrees with a few snow flakes falling. It can wait for warmer weather.

@HappyHydroGrower - the other purple kush. 4/21 Red update day 64. Yesterday I trimmed her up a touch.

Nice jar of cuttings. But not keeping any

She is filling out. I need to work on getting her more circular to fill out the frame more evenly.

She has just about reached the first level of the frame which is 10" above the level of the coco.

I think I should string the scrog before she grows much more. If things work according to plan (first time for every thing) I will use it to finish filling out the frame.
How does another week of veg sound? Flip on day 70/71. I will have to bust out the Jack’s Blossom Booster and a few other goodies.
Till next time

4/27 Red update day 70. Good grief, 70 already. First things first. As I have said I am rookie autopot user and this is my maiden voyage. @Nicky Sometime sh*t happens like when my wife ask why is there water dripping from the ceiling. Well, directly above her is the autopot and the tray overflowed and the reservoir was down about two gallons. Sorry for the poor picture but see how the pivot point on the float is properly seated.

Well, yesterday I was a good boy and flushed the lines and cleaned the valve. You know what is coming. When I put it all back together I did not have the pivot point all the way down and the float never closed. Cleaned up the mess, no damage to the ceiling, and I am back in business. As a precaution I put the tray in a 18x24x3" tray. Hopefully it will stay dry.
Now for the GOOD stuff… Today is day 70 and defoliation day in preparation to flip her soon. Untouched and growing up through the first scrog which is 11" above grade.

She is a bit of a mess and needs some attention.

It’s a jungle under there

She is a stout little girl

I like this view looking down the T of the manifold

I think she is in pretty good shape now

She has a solid base and is ready to go

I am going to let her go a couple more days. By then everything should be above the first scrog.
That is about it for now. Till next time… :sunglasses:

Lol
Number # issue most people have with flooding, I always press them in really good (I’ve never broke one so push hard!) and then I double push it.

Glad you had no damage and learned early on, never do it again lol.

Also of you take your lines off a connection, cut that little bit off so your pushing fresh line onto a connection so no leaks.

Ps the mainline looks good :ok_hand: that’s some patients and it shows the time you have spent caring for that plant (by damaging it in a good way haha)

Now I know. Lesson learned. It could have been a much worse.
I usually veg for 70 plus days so I am in line. Although this is the first mainline from seed I always do a lot of LST and HST because I enjoy that aspect of growing.
