I hope I save enough to retire one day… Just starting to save at the age of 34 =(
And I’ll drain that to buy a house :pensive:

Let’s see when I was 34. Our first of three was a year old. We had just moved into our house the year before. I sold everything I had that wasn’t nailed down to make ends meet. I loved that 57 Belair even if it was a 4-door. Two more kids, college etc etc. Finally pulled the retirement card at 67. Somehow it worked out.

4/29 It is Blue’s turn today. Day 72. This is the Nebula’s Manifold that is supposed to have 12 mains.
She has been quietly doing her thing in the corner and she needed some attention

She is under around 100w veg lights so her growth has been manageable.

This is a good overhead of her after some moderate defoliation and removing extra growth tips. Cleaned up quite nicely. You can see the first node stems which is Nebula’s technique. However, I also topped the main stems giving her six on each side.

Except this side has seven. As I said before, I was letting her grow out for future cuttings. I left this one because it was so healthy and she looked strong enough to handle it.

I gotta make room for her somewhere.
Till next time

I have to admit it is a good fit. I keep regular ā€œofficeā€ hours.

Dang, did you work at a place that contributes to your retirement or has a pension?

After I purchased the business and ran it as self-employed with only one other employee I hit the retirement savings as much as I could afford. It was a SEP Simplified Employee Pension. Before that we had a small business 401k type of plan. I put in as much as I could and my employer would also put into it. There were only two of us so what ever my ā€œemployerā€ put in in essence came out of what I otherwise would have earned.
These are U.S. type retirement, pension savings accounts. Not sure what Canadian equivalent if any would be.

I started a medical company and bought an ambulance did stand by medical work for the oil and gas industry but the industry has been in a recession for about 7 years… No debt but haven’t made my money back so I’m moving on. Still have my ambulance, a medical work trailer and a travel trailer for remote job living.
What type of business did you run?

I’m now halfway done my occupational health and safety diploma, I have a two year university certificate which I could use but I’m sticking with my current work because it allows me to do my distance education depending on the job.
My girlfriend has one year left of her Registered nursing before she goes into a specialized field.

I have the buisneses experience so we are hoping to start a cosmetic side business /hustle to bring in some money.

Once my next two years are done I should be able to get better pay, ideally be a contractor and write off alot of expenses while banking what I can.

Canadian has registered retirement savings plan/RRSP. Or tax free saving account/tsfa

40+ years as a certified public accountant. I worked with one other CPA for 30 of those years and then bought him out and ran it another 10. It was a good enough living even with having multiple heart attacks and god knows how many cigarettes. Going on 10 cardiac interruption free years. And, have not had a cigarette since December.
I am glad I retired before all of this stuff hit. Good luck with your training and education.

I’m glad to hear you quit smoking cigarettes, your body will thank you.

Thanks for the positive wishes, I’m. Sure it will just need to keep at it (yeah covid messes everything up like my cash flow and thus my university progression)

That’s along time to stick at a job, you deserve the retirement.
Now let’s grow you some more bud!

Thanks for the encouragement. It is getting better. I use nicotine gum. It helps a lot and frequency of use is much less.

I just recently tried the Juul vape. To be honest, I think I can smoke 5 cigarettes at once and not caught as much as I did with that juul. I don’t see how people can inhale that thing.
Man I wish you the best of luck! :v::+1:t2::sunglasses:
