Same here. Some articles make the distinction while other don’t. Growweedeasy articles by Nebula Haze distinguishes between Nugbuckets mainline and her manifold. The difference explained by Nebula was also made by Coco for cannabis. I am trying to maintain the terms and differences described in these two publications. But when you see the T I still see a manifold.
Yip…and then you extend Nebulas way and you get a flux, as best done by Light Addict and then you get people that put OCD to shame…

That’s nuts. I will have to dig around for some more the LA’s stuff
Cruel and unusual punishment
I think I’d rather be water boarded
I am returning to the. question about wetting agents and their use in peat basedh mixes. In a blog about growing figs someone mentioned Physan 20. It was recommended in reply to being aske about using various soaps in low doses as a wetting agent. Orchid growers apparently also use it.
It is funny where these things lead you.
I found this on Physan20.co.nz
1. HOW DO I USE PHYSAN 20?
Physan 20 can be used in many different ways:
- Primarily as a rescue remedy on all Orchids for Crown Rot, Erwinia and Boytritis
- As an all round Disinfectant to decontaminate pots, floors and workbench areas in the Greenhouse
- As a sterilizing agent for Greenhouse tools and equipment
- As maintenance spray to combat and control Fungal diseases on flowers and plants
- Clean out closed hydroponic Irrigation systems
- Controls Algae on walkways, paths and hard garden surfaces
- Excellent for de-flasking and soil drenching
- Excellent for controlling algae in fountains, birdbaths, swimming pools and decorative water displays

Any thoughts yes / no toward use in a peat mix. Unnecessary? Counterproductive / unfriendly toward mycorrhizae, fungi and healthy bacteria?
I have seen mention of similar products and people swear by it…I unfortunately do not have any experience on these products and am of no use on this…if I read something of value, I’ll point you in the direction…![]()

Thanks If nothing else it sounds like a good product to clean up our bird bath / fountain.
Oh by the way. Working on step one.
The door to my shop / grow space is bottom left

For this one I will have to resurrect my construction skills. In 1994 a lead carpenter and I built the garage.
I have to retain public access to a mechanical room so I have to be able to completely seal off the grow space. Hence, the closet concept in some form or another. I will not mess with wiring or anything electric that I can’t plug in. For that I will enlist the help of son #1.
Yip…there it is
all planned out and drawn up…well done my friend, those are solid plans …and with the help from #1, you will shortly be crushing some plants in there…![]()

Keep after it and someday it will be done. You do know you are a significant motivating force behind this project. I want / need some larger dedicated spaces for doing some fun stuff. I figure a discreet interior garden space will just increase the house’s sale value.

It’s a sterilant so likely gonna kill everything in the soil.
Looks like it might be interesting to use as a remedy for WPM maybe?
Yucca extract is a natural wetting agent, Buildasoil sells it.
I ran into a hydrophobic soil issue with my peat based soil and it kicked my a$$. I diagnosed everything but the problem.
That is more like what I am looking for. I knew yucca was used as a wetting agent but was not sure what to get. This much friendlier than Physan 20. Appreciate the info.
My pleasure!
4/14 it has been a week. This is Red update day 57. First off, she seems to like the autopot. On 4/9 put 7 gallons of Jack in the reservoir and turned the valve to on. Prior to that I had been top feeding and then a couple of feeds of both top and bottom through the tray.
She is growing out and filling in.
Today I added a few staples to flatten her out and also spread the tops out.
Previously I mentioned she started alternate leaf pattern. Now on one side I have one or two extra “main” growth points. I will remove the less desirable one(s) to get it down to four on each side. However, a couple of days ago while tying one down I snapped it off at the Y. There was no salvaging it. I will have to let a secondary that I would otherwise cut off, grow out and hope it catches up.
You can see the left side has more tips that I want so
For this grow I added some mylar and there are the lovely blurples.
and the warm hue they cast
Well…NO more
The new light came in this afternoon and up she went.
I put it at 26-27" and 80%. I’ll get the kill-a-watt out tomorrow to see how the dimmer markings match up with power draw. It is a Sonofarm SF4000 with Samsung LM301B diodes. 400w to cover the 2x2 frame should do it.
That is it for now.
Wait…
the Nucanoe has been relocated about 5 feet forward. The open door is to my shop - grow space .
This story will be continued.
Till next time…
Congrats on the upgrade!
A lot changes for that little space. I hope she likes it.
The combination of the blurples and Kind Flower bar did OK but hoping this will do that much better.
I bet you won’t find any research suggesting it’ll hurt.
Congrats on the light and the girls are looking fine!
