Jack's v Greenleaf

Straight-up question: Has anyone done a head-to-head comparison of Jack’s 3-2-1 v Megacrop? And has anyone used the Megacrop 1 part?

@Growdoc and I are currently using Mega Crop Part 1

I’ve also used jacks 321 in my 1st grow

No head to head though

Thanks. I was skeptical because their website info looks like it’s 5 years old.

No problem, I started using MC1 after watching a few old hands here using it @OGIncognito and quite a few others can not remember them all.

Cool beans! Intrigued by it for the same reason I like Jack’s - KISS.

Jack had less issue with build up in the lines from res to Autopot, but outdoors it does not matter

Mega Crop is amazing, I would recommend the 1 part for top feeding and the 2 part for hydro, drip or autopots. The 1 part works great on these systems if your supply and return lines are larger than 3/8” :love_you_gesture:

Less solids in the 2 part ? @OGIncognito

I did side by side last grow in tent, couldn’t see a difference in them.:love_you_gesture::+1:
Megs is definitely easier mixing!

I have run MC one part for 3 grows and invariably near the end I will get either line clogs or the float in the auto pots either sticks open ( flood) or won’t let water in. I am in week 15 and have one I am hand filling as it is close and barely drinking. No complaints on the results though. Interested in the MC 2 part. The instructions on the web site are kind of vague for the 2 part. Started my tomatoes on MC one part and they love it.

The 2 part is cleaner with less solid material than MC1. I would try it if I didn’t have 25 lb bags of Jacks and now 25 lbs MC1. I top water again, it suits me just fine!:love_you_gesture::oncoming_fist:

:+1: going to do my 2x4 tent this winter grow in 32 oz solo cups once the tray gets here will figure out how many I can fit.

Will do my normal 2 in the 3x3 or change it out for the 4x4 and do 3 in regular auto pots.

I switched to MC1 roughly 4 weeks into my last grow and I plan on sticking with it in future grows. I’m an AutoPot/Coco grower and I love the PH stability and mixing ease. PH swings when I added hygrozyme needing daily ph down. I purchased the add on nutes but I don’t have a good approach to incorporate as they dont spell it out to my level of dim.

Apologies if I’m hijacking the thread but what would you guys use in AutoPot lines to prevent buildup from MC1?

A flush with clean water every other time I change rez, I find most of the build up hits the plastic splitters first

Just to clarify for me @Bentstick please, does your water flush stay in for a day feeding the plants too or flush the system and refill with nutrients immediately? The reason I ask is I used Cyco nutrients for a few grows and it was 6 days nutes then 1 day water w/ their Kleanse product. Also might change how one approaches root health management?

No just flush out and start the nutes again.

Mixes clear like Jacks just a smidge easier to dissolve :love_you_gesture:
