Looking for the Awesome nutrients

I have been using the FoxFarm trio. I think the FF is giving my weed an aftertaste ? Im looking for nutrients that will compliment the normal 3 months grow cycles of Autoflowers. And a nutrient mix that I can switch over to when I decide to go hydroponics. When Im using soil, I use FF Ocean Forest and and Happy Frog top. I also mix in Bat Guano and worm casting in with the OF.

Lots of folks use Jacks here. I used it exclusively for these autos

This is my first season of using Mega Crop for outdoor dirt, indoor dirt and hydro :green_heart::metal:t2:

Look how clean my bags are :person_shrugging:t2:

Just the bags, every thing else is dirty dirty :joy:

I didn’t flush before harvest. They are drying now.

I use Jacks 321 and love it, so easy. I used to use fox farm trio, what a nightmare. Do yourself a favor and get jacks!

I went on the Jacks website, lots of products. Which do I need for Autoflowers?

Jack’s Nutrients 5-12-26 Part A and 15-0-0 Part B Two-Part Water-Soluble Fertilizer System for Plants Grown in Continuous Liquid Feed Programs, (2) 2.2lb Bags

I got it off Amazon. This will last you a while depending on the size of your grow.

This is what you want.

I’m another user of Jack’s. You will need Epsom and Silica but that’s it.

No flushing. Run from first feeding to last. Hydro-friendly. PH stable. Economical.

That’s probably enough to grow 8 plants.

This is mine from October third:

I use Jacks and recently tried a nutrient line called Mega Crop 1 part. I ran 9 plants from start to finish with excellent results. Inexpensive and supplies all the macro and micro nutrients needed in one part :love_you_gesture:

I use General Hydroponics maxi-bloom in both soil and Hydroponics.
Nothing wrong with Jack’s, but GH maxi-bloom is easier because its 1 part and no scales needed to weight it.

There’s many more of my plants under my profile if ya want to seach though them.

Flushing isn’t needed before harvest as it’s not “natural” plant’s in the wild don’t get flushed and controlled studies suggest that people cannot tell the difference in tastes from flushed or unflushed products when blind taste tests are done…

So rest easy my freind as that’s one less thing to worry about

I liked Nectar for The Gods, got the sample pack for the cost of shipping, produced a great quality smoke.

I liked Foop but it stinks and it’s expensive.

Jacks is great and easy and like the two listed above, I didn’t experience the issues I faced with FF

I got the Mega Crop 1, it also has great reviews on Amazon. The price was great. I only grow 1-2 plants at a time. Should last a while. Plus with all of the other awesome alternatives this Forum had given me so far. I can switch up to something different if needed.

Thanks

I haven’t used silica with Jacks for my last 2 grows, can you explain that part? Looking to learn. I’ve used A,B, and epsom salt with good results.

Silica is necessary for stem strength, disease resistance and trichome production. Trichome stalks are composed of silica.

Do you have a brand you recommend? And is the dosing on the container? Also, can it be mixed with the regular Jacks recipe per gallon, or does it need to be a separate feed?

I use Silica Blast (IIRC) but it’s just Potassium Silicate. There are powdered versions available but I’ve never used them.

I run 3 ml/gallon from first feeding to last.

Silica is introduced first to water, then Part A etc. If done later it will gel and sink to the bottom; making a big mess.
