Is this the start of foxtailing?

First grow here, and we’re starting week 8 since flipping to flower. Are these buds starting to foxtail?

My lights have been about 12” from the canopy and measured between 750-850ppfd at that distance.

Should I raise the lights up? Thanks in advance growmies!

You’re 100% correct that is Foxtails.
It’s caused by too much light/heat or just a phenotype of your cultivar.
You can raise the light to stop it but you can’t reverse it

That’s what I was afraid of, but glad I asked about it. I moved the lights up a bit now. Thanks for the info!

What’s your current t light schedule? If these are autos and you’re running 18/6 you can change that up to 12/12 to reduce some lighting hours :love_you_gesture:

They’re photos running 12/12. Good to know for autos in the future though. I’m going to try some autos for my second grow.

Some strains have fox tailing bred into them.
Anyway you can also reduce lights on a photoperiod from 12/12 to 10/14 or 8/16 to reduce the light and heat. My photoperiods are on 8/16 right now to help them finish up.

Oh nice. I hadn’t even considered that route. I’ll give it a go, thanks

The thing looks beautiful to me.

It ended up being a pretty good harvest. Just got done enjoying a joint with some.

And how was it?

It was lovely - smooth smoke, great smell, and a chill head high

Heck yeah @AptlyNamed .the foxtail in had this round turn out to be fire.

Yes sir. Would smoke it with ya if i could
