Light intensity?too much?

All these plants have been doing great. They are at day 38 on a suggested 63 day flower. I have been running about 950 ppfd at them but they are starting to foxtail a bit. Should i start lowering intensity now? Thanks in advance

Very nice! I keep my lighting the same during flowering, increasing in brightness until they like it.

I wouldn’t if it were me. The plants look quite healthy, leaves don’t seem to be showing signs of stress from too much light.

Foxtails come out more in some genetics than others. I remember some Zkittlez autos that would foxtail like crazy for me. If you don’t like the appearance, try to bring the light a little further away.

Thatd be about max fox tailing id want, personally if it got worse id back my lights off a bit to prevent more. Personal preference

My opinion is that foxtailing is genetic, and it pretty much happens to everyone in some form or another. Some is excessive, but I wouldn’t consider this excessive.
Overall the flowers are throwing out pistils in a last attempt to seek pollen. This will add more weight, and likely the plant is gaining in more potency anyways if we were to look at the color of trichomes.

What LUX level?
Is this correct?
15 inches to top of plant,
500 watts (2.5 or better) = 80,000 LUX (measured UT383-BT) = 1250 PPFD?
11.5 hours ON/12.5 OFF
Temps 70-85 (average is 80, lights ON).
RH Under 60
One Month since flip.
two trims and two transplants during veg 6-8 weeks.

No idea, I check the plants leaves and temps, I keep the light cranking until they tell me no more. Or I see light burn on the leaves… :grimacing:

Me too. I have 3 gdp autos all the same age. Buds look different on all 3, only 1 has the foxtails.

Leaf temps -7F when light ON at 80F.
Just wondering, how much, is too much.
