Hi everyone. Newbie here. Just a question abt humidity. Mine gets up around 70-75% when lights are off. Does higher humidity make a big difference?
In veg, no worries. Once she starts flowering though, that is a bit higher than I shoot for. I drop my humidity to about 40% when in flower. Your friend will be airflow at that RH. Will not be a problem with adequate airflow.
To elaborate, the higher the humidity the more likely you are to get mold. If it gets moldy it’s trash in almost all scenarios. It is not worth the effort of growing the plant if it gets engulfed in mold a week before harvest. The thicker and heavier the buds get the more likely trapped humidity can cause a problem. It becomes more of a problem as you approach harvest. So we aim lower on flower humidity to ensure our efforts aren’t just well loved compost. Hope you can find a way to move more air or use a dehumidifier as you transition to flower. Happy growing.
I say it makes a gigantic difference. But I’m a newb and know nothing. If it isn’t then maybe I can cut both dehumidifiers off and my power bill won’t be 250 a month.
Mine will hit in the mid 60’s when lights are off. I’m in the low 40’s after lights on.
Make sure you have some fans with plenty of airflow.
