I have four very healthy female plants in a 48”x34”x7’ grow room lined with aluminum foil. Plenty of light. Temp is 74-76 day 66-68 at night (12/12 cycle) humidity is 58-68%, for the last two weeks and they are just starting to bud or flower. Suddenly the room humidity shot up to 90-95% and the walls are foggy with moisture. There’s been no change in watering them every 2-3 days. Any idea what’s going on? And is the humidity dangerous? Will it level off?
I opened the room twice today and ventilated it with a small fan until the walls dried off and humidity went down to 55%. Ideas?
Welcome @Kwit1970
You will need to get better air circulation/exchange in that room.
In flower, that can ruin a crop if mold/bud rot sets in.
You need to keep the air moving. I deal with high humidity year round and I have two 6” fans, a 12” occulting fan and a 10” fan in my tent going 24-7. I also have a big fan moving air in the lung room. Happy Growing ![]()

Welcome to the community. You can also use a Dehumidifier. ![]()
Do you have an inline ventilation fan pulling the air out out the room
Welcome to the community, and I also have to use a dehumidifier to keep it down. Yes high humidity is a bad thing later in flower mold and rot will destroy you ladies.
I have a nine inch fan constantly blowing out of the room through charcoal filters. I’ve been able to regulate temp and humidity with it pretty well until the buds started to appear. I was interested to know if the new higher rate of water vapor expiration from the plants was normal once they start to flower.
It’s been raining alot lately. It should go down when the rain stops. Keep alot of air moving when your humidity levels rise or you will get bud mold. A dehumidifier is a option
High humidity can cause mold
