Hey so I’m about a month into flowering on my three autos and two photos. I had to flush last night before the lights went off and noticed my RH was in the 80s. So I turn my central heat on for a little bit and brought it back down to 70 but my question is I really can’t do much to change the humidity so during the daytime it’s at about 50% and when the lights are off it’s around 70%. Will I be okay with this as far as not getting mold or anything as long as I have good air flow? I have three strong fans in there and a portable AC that stays on 65. I tried to use the dehumidifier mode on the AC last night and I don’t think it really made much of a difference. So what is y’all’s thoughts about this?
Target <50% and keep your airflow up to manage mold risk.
I would skip nitrogen for a feeding or 2. The dark, waxy leaves are a symptom of excess nitrogen.
Yeah I know but I don’t know what I can do to get it in that range. So I’m wondering if it has no choice but to be 70 with the lights out, would I be fine as long as these fans are kicking ass?
Happy birthday bud. The higher humidity can be mitigated with fans to an extent. I bought a dehumidifier on ebay and I live in the swamp basically. It works well.
@SausageMahoney thank you bro and yeah I’ll end up getting one one day just not able to at this moment, yeah I’m in Louisiana and the humidity don’t play here LOL
I’m next door to the west. The fans will help a ton.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY growmie
Thanks a million!
Higher humidity needs higher heat to stay in the range
Ck out a vpd chart and get close.
And Happy Whole-cake-Day
Thank you thank you. Right so you’re saying maybe Match the AC with a little heat?
Find your humidity and get temps close to that.
Or find your temps and get humidity close.
Nature is my “lung room” so I have to deal with what she gives me
Your in the Light Blue stage
Each night at lights out I turn on a heater and de humidifier that helps with the spike in humidity at lights out. Without doing that my temp is 73 and rh 67, using my devices at night I get about 75 and 60 rh. Doing that keeps me in a better place on @StonedCold13 chart than without intervention.
Grow room looks better every time I see it. Doing something right, or good. Happy growing and smoking JJ
@Jaysittinback thank you bro, yeah I’m trying to get it hooked up. Woke up to finding a seed this morning and kind of tripping behind it
Hey yeah I dealt w a few, mixing strains and playing with pollen, and herms. If its gonna be a big problem youll catch it early 'cuz yiu look at your plants a lot
I’d look them all over every bud bottom to top and if there arent male parts or nanners forget about it for a couple weeks and check again.
@Jaysittinback sounds like a plan my dude. Thank you
High humidity in flowering isn’t a bad thing. You just have to have the proper lighting and temperature to go along with it. In my flower tent I want the humidity between 60 and 70 because I’m hitting them hard with light and temperature. If it feels like a rainforest inside your tent or room you’re doing it right. Obviously the airflow has to be turning over otherwise mold can come but as long as you’re keeping your grow clean then it’s not an issue
I run my temps around 85 in flowering and try to stay at or around 70% humidity.
@imSICKkid I just put a portable AC in there and set it to 65 and it puts my flower room at 75 when lights on in about 67 when lights off. Why would you want it so hot? I thought cold is better, please explain
Cold temps slow down your plants metabolism. Cold is the last thing you want whenever you’re looking for a high performance garden
