Height Limits of Photoperiod Plants and Their Yields

Friends, my plants are about 6 weeks old and about 60 cm tall.

How many weeks do you think it will take for the plants to reach 12/12 light and start flowering?

My tent is 2 meters high and the potted plants are now about 1 meter high.

I want to change the lighting from week 8

If your plants are half the height of the tent I would change the flip from week 8 to now. I would say generally speaking they want to stretch about half the tent height thru flower. So flip em like a pancake baby. :pancakes:

Take in consideration plant will double in size. When flipped to 12/12 light schedule to start flowering stage. Good luck :victory_hand:

Agree totally. The stretch will max you out. Still need clearance for lights.

I agree with everything above, but will add that topping or training your plants will give them time to get wide and slows the vertical growth.

I top, train, supercrop…as much as I need to to get 4 plants to fill a 4 x 4. I like to keep them under 55 cm at the flip or I run into height issues. To get a flat canopy, I usually have to cut a few nodes down on some plants.

Show us a picture of your whole tent…easier to see what you have going on.

Also, flipping to 12/12 before sexually mature is a waste of time.

They are going to get big!
I would flip for sure. Might have to bend them around and torture them a bit.
Right on growmie!

After 4 weeks they’re usually good to start budding

Normal photoperiod is usually 6 to 8 weeks before stipules form.

Unless needing shorter auto sized plants. I run photo 12/12 from start if doing many plants small in a permanent 12/12 tent.

Thanks for the valuable comments friends
So far, the plants have been stressed a lot
I will be doing 12/12 on the 7th weekend
I hope they will fit in the tent in the future

In my experience 4 weeks then i flip my lights. I do it the same as autos. But i grow in rdwc so maybe for soil it’d be different
