Thoughts on when I should flip the light to 12/12

Wondering if I should wait a few more weeks to flip to 12/12. Started this grow on 12-24-2025. The 2 untrained and unstopped are Purple Skunk and the one I did LST on is Chicken n’ Waffles. All photoperiod. The 2 are clones and the other is from seed. Should I let the branches grow a little more? On the trained plant I have 3-5 nodes on each branch and the other 2 not so many. Any advice would be appreciated. This is my 5 real grow where I made it to harvest in a row but I’ve not dealt with clones much. The CNW plant is very healthy. VPD is always between 0.8-1.4 60-70 degrees at night and up to 75 with light off. Have CO2 also with fans, exhaust, A/C as well. Floro Micro and Flora Grow, cal-mag. Will switch to Flora Nectar and Flora Bloom when I flip.

As long as you have the light flower the whole footprint of the tent…I would wait until you fill up more of the tent. The plants can nearly double in size during flower so you can’t wait until the tent is full, but if you flip too soon…you will be “wasting photons” because they are hitting the floor.

Sounds good. I was thinking maybe flip in 2-3 weeks because of timing. Going on vacation the first week of May and don’t have anyone to check on the plants. I thought about getting an auto watering setup but just don’t trust them yet.

Sounds like you have time to flower them and run them out. Vacation is 12 13 weeks out is it?

12 weeks is a safe time frame to flower

I was hoping I’d be able to finish before May. Not sure how my yield will be though. Was wanting to grow the branches a little more to get more out of them. Each branch has multiple nodes and are looking pretty good.

Thats the beauty of photoperiods, you get to choose how big you let them get. I’ll be honest i dont worry much about how many weeks of veg they are, there just comes a day where i say “im flipping the lights tomorrow.”

Nice looking plants btw.

Thanks! I decided to flip today. The 2 clones are almost 2 feet now so I figured since they are sativa dominant they might double in size. Accounting for my exhaust fan and how high I can put my light it made sense. The Chicken n Waffles that I did LST on can be raised to match the other 2 plants. As soon as I harvest I’m planning on doing 6 autos. Any advice on autos?

Sounds like you have a good handle on it. Ive only grown a couple Auto’s before i decided i prefer photoperiods. There’s plenty of others on here that have alot of experience with autoflowers. Also dont forget the search bar for this forum, there’s alot of conversations in the past that can answer alot of your questions before you have to ask. I still use it to this day
