Happy Frog runoff test

Lol, believe me, I hear you. Over the course of 29 years I had lots of marathon shifts and lots of emergency jobs that had to be done.
I feel for you, cause I know how miserable it is.
Stay tough!

WTF was I thinking! “Sure Bahboo” I’ll do it… No problem.

110 degrees in the back room with mold smelling mop water. I want my mommy.

New box is up,. All the breakers installed, Main lines hooked up, 4 breakers wired, only 36 more breakers to wire. :yawning_face:

When I’m done with this, I’m going to sleep until Saturday.

@Cap_Ron
Took a little longer than I thought (23-1/2 hours). And whoever wired this building was definitely under the influence of stupid ass. I even got a $500 tip :partying_face:

Not bad for a dumbass girl.

Very nice job! I always preferred new construction over service work. I found it much easier to start and finish my own projects rather than having to go fix shit some other asswipe messed up, lol.

@Cap_Ron
Right after high school my mom forced me to take an HVAC School course for 18 months. Although I never took the field after school because back in them days it didn’t pay anything. Nevertheless, I continued side work and building shit on my own and I found out that I was pretty damn good as long as I had the determination I could get it done. But I agree I’ll try to sell them all new before Band-Aid behind somebody. At that point common Sense should prevail. Thanks for listening to me vent. Was a long rough 24 hours. Good night brother Ron

@Cap_Ron
I see your new girls are looking happy and healthy.

I went to the tent with a flashlight and a 30-time magnifying glass in the dark last night checking the trichomes of all the girls. They all still look clear to me. Personally I don’t think I’m going to be able to distinguish milky from clear due to my eyes. However I do think I’ll be able to tell Amber from milky. Rather than cutting anything down at 100 days I’m going to wait for the first sign of Amber then start chopping. I guess that’s the proper way to do it.

I spent about an hour this morning securing big girl with more twist ties. She tends to be pretty sturdy now when I move her but I still have to be careful.

I pretty much think I’m going to take this opportunity to enjoy a little peace and quiet as I think I’m getting ready for a long trim jail trip. Enjoy your day Ron

Waiting for some ambers to show up sounds like a good idea to me. You’re already doing much better than I did several years ago. I used to be really inpatient and chop early, but I finally learned how much better it is to find the patience and wait until they’re properly ripened. It makes a big difference!
Enjoy your day, and I hope you can get some good rest after your marathon panel swap out!

@Cap_Ron
I’ve got plenty of patience. You’re only as good as your teacher. You help me tremendously. As for rest, LOL the same guy called me at 6:45 a.m. this morning to service his Hershey ice cream machine freezer. I’m literally just pulling up now. Do a good job the word gets out. The old saying kicks in, I’ll rest when I die. For me it’s about getting out of my house and making a few bucks. :partying_face:

@Cap_Ron
Hi Ron… One of the Do-Si-Dos girl’s is getting too big for the tent. She makes big girl look like a derr midget. She’s already on the floor, I’ve super cropped her already, and she’s 4 in from the light at 100% and I know that’s no good.

Her main stem is definitely too hard to super crop again. For now what I can do since she’s behind in flowering because I super cropped her originally is tie a string around her main and pull her towards a pole in the tent and tie her down. That’ll work up until her buds start fattening up and then she’s not going to be able to handle the bend. This girl is a “monster”

Any suggestions? Thank you :pray:

That’s a tough one, and I’ve been there myself. The easiest answer is to let it be, knowing that the top cola might suffer some light burn and most likely have a lot of foxtailing. At least the rest of the plant will still receive adequate light that way.

Another solution is to dim down the intensity of the light a bit. This will protect the main cola from light burn to a certain degree, but will also decrease the light the rest of the plant gets.

AC Infinity makes strip lights that you can install lower down around the perimeter of the tent. I’ve never used them, but if you want to lower the intensity of your main grow light, they might help the lower sections of the plant still get a decent amount of light.

I can’t remember for sure who I ssw post a pic of them, but I think it might have been @Newt. Maybe he can let you know how they work or if he thinks they might be good for you in this situation.

Yes, I have them. You can see them here:

They are amazing.

As for the original issue, tie a string to it, and gently pull it over. Each day increase the tension just a bit. Might help.

@Newt
That’s exactly what I did. I went down the main branch about 2 ft from the top where it’s a little thicker and pulled her entire off on the pole in the tent. That gave me about seven extra inches away from where it was which is good for now. Thank you my friend. By the way how much were those lights? What are the specs on them? Thanks in advance. I actually have those same lights in purple is that any benefit?

@Cap_Ron thank you Ron. I tied her off to the pole on the other side of the tent and pulled it gave me almost 7 in more away from the light. :v:

These are the 16" lights, and I have 2 sets. Each set is 90.

@Cap_Ron
Hypothetical question, Do-Si-Dos girl is 75 days old (that’s about week five in flowering) she has a twin sister born in exact same time. She didn’t get super cropped and her buds are big and fat.

Obviously the girl in question that did get super cropped approximately one week in the flowering got stressed over it. Her buds are like popcorn.

Had she not been stressed her buds would be much much bigger. The question is, do I simply let her Go an extra two weeks as she seems to have taken that long to recover. It’s not like she has an expiration date. And if I do give her an extra two to three weeks will her bud production catch up?

I’d say it depends on how her trichomes look. Is she close enough to be looking for that yet, or maybe for now go by the pistils. If they’re still long and lighter in color then there’s plenty of time to go. If you compare the two of them is the size of the buds the only difference, or do they appear at different stages? Like pistil lengths and colors?

@Cap_Ron
They definitely appear to be in different stages and they’re actually not. Once again born within minutes of each other.

Here’s a picture of the girl in question

Here’s a picture of the sister that didn’t get super caught.

They’re 98 days is up October 9th. This girl looks like she won’t be done till January

Yeah, I agree, they’re progressing slowly, but definitely still filling out. I’d say they have a ways to go. No way to tell yet, but it looks like the girl in the first pic will need more time than the second one.
Sorry for the late reply, I had a really busy night.

@Cap_Ron
Hopefully it was a fun late night thing. I would venture to say only time will tell. You’re correct the one in the first picture is way behind the one in the second picture. She’s eating at 800 EC so she has a good appetite. Hopefully we can just fatten her ass up.

@Cap_Ron
This is big girl. Can you tell anything from these pictures on her readiness?

I know, my camera sucks. I spent all my money on seeds and nutrients
