Hey guys, and feedback on this? It’s biscotti mintz by Barney’s farm. 3 gallon fabric pot in happy frog soil. Feed water yesterday was ph 6.9 and ec 0.5. Run off was ph 6.1 and ec 3.2. That’s with no added nutrients except calmag, which I’m only adding to get my very soft water (ec 0.1) high enough to make a difference for the low soil ph. 150 watt grow light, ppfd of 575. Temp 72-85, humidity 65-75. I added some great white and recharge. Plant is 28 days since sprout. I just topped above the 5th node 5 days ago.
I’m noticing some things. I have been concerned with droopiness from the beginning. It’s been pretty persistent, although some days it looks better than others. Gemini says my leaves have a leathery texture and called it “twisted new growth”. The pair of stems at each node are purpling, but only on the topside; the underside is green. Gemini suggested my ec is too high, but that’s just the happy frog. It also said it was too small. It’s about 6 inches tall and 5 nodes after topping.
Gemini is suggesting a flush with nothing but ph balanced water and to back the light off to 400 ppfd. Do you agree with that assessment? The leaves do look like maybe they are canoeing a little bit, but I thought up to 600 ppfd was acceptable for this stage. As far as the flush, should I really add NOTHING, even if my ec is 0.1? Thanks for your help, and if there’s any information I forgot to mention, just tell me and I’m happy to provide it.
First off, who or what is Gemini. I do not agree with they/them haha!!!
Your plant looks great to me. I literally see nothing wrong or amiss. Keep doing what your doing.
Not that we should compare our plants to anyone elses but here is mine at 29 days.
As for flushing, it is only needed if there is a problem. Usually it is either a visable leaf color issue or your pH/ppms are completely off. You have none of this going on.

The world has changed so much in my 60 years. I feel like I am living in a sci fi movie.
Looks like a well taken care of Indica strain to me
Plant looks healthy and vibrant @Bfreezy

Yea Gemini is just an alternative to chat gpt. I know not everybody agrees with their use, and I definitely make sure to verify with other sources lol.
Comforting to hear those answers. I dunno if the pictures really show what I’m trying to express - it was really sad looking this morning but I was late for work and unable to get a picture. It was very, very droopy. All throughout the grow people have suggested overwatering or low root zone oxygen. It’s a fabric pot and perlite added to happy frog, so I’m not sure what else I can really do. I wait until it’s pretty damn dry to water again, and I used a chopstick to try and aerate the soil. It’s taking varying amounts of time to dry out which is kinda weird. This last time there was only 3 days between watering, but last time it was 7. I put a one inch layer of perlite on the bottom when I transplanted 2 weeks ago. Further research says that’s not a great idea as it creates a perched water table.
So you think a ppfd of 575 is good, and no flush?
Every one of the northern lights in the “grow off” was droopy lil plants their first month. Some plants just droop more till they get going. It looks good to me too.
You are way more likely to have problems from adjustments now then just letting grow on. There’s no bugs or glaring deficiencies and you are all ready on your PH. I would give it 2 more weeks before you adjust anything.
Ask the robot how many ounces it got from its last run. Lol
I approve this message. Just continue to monitor that pH and ppm’s.
I missed this the first read through ![]()

PH is low but that EC is in line with organically amended soil. Keep water feeding and go in at 7.0 to get that root zone PH in range of 6.3-6.8 ![]()
The white spots are diametaceous earth that I….did not apply well.
Plant looks great, I’d let her ride. Nice huge solar panels. Thanks @StonedCold13 for clearing up what Gemini was, I had no clue ![]()
I’m not sure which one it is? Maybe I’m reading it wrong. If your EC gets to .1, your plants are going to be saying something and, yes, definitely feed her. Let the soil do what it does until you start getting below 2 EC.
Sorry, my input water from the tap is 0.1. And my run off is 6.1. I bring that up because I just recently learned water needs a few ppm to carry a stable ph
You don’t need to ph pure water. If you have high mineral water with low/high ph, then sure, but RO water or low EC water, you don’t need to ph. It’s not going to affect the ph of your soil since there’s nothing in it to affect the ph.
