I adjust the ph to 6.0 before feeding going in the reading of 7.5 is what i got on runoff today
Yes agreed but we been getting so much rain i dont want to drown them
@Waldy178
Okay first off your soil has about a 35 day supply of nutrients that should be sufficient for any Autoflower without adding any nutrients whatsoever.
You say that you’re feeding on a heavy schedule not sure what that means nevertheless you’re just outside of burning through all of your nutrients in the soil so feeding with your what I’m assuming is a three-part base bloom and grow nutrient line from Fox farm is just fine stop giving it the Cal mag you do not need it
The very first thing I would do is go back to the schedule that you’re using do not use full strength do not use that strength use 1/4 strength of your nutrients this time without calmag
Be sure you let your soil dry before feeding again with the 1/4 strength bass nutrients. Once your soil is dry feed them with the quarter strength measuring your intake feed total EC of 250 EC
Make enough nutrient solution that you can run off at least 15% and catch it and do the reading from there and come back and post the reading the reading would be the pH the EC and the ppms of the runoff after you feed them.
You’re feeding too much is what your problem is and giving them calmag when they don’t need it. Ditch the cow mag for now
Feed your girls at 250 EC run off at least 15%. Take a reading of the EC PPM and pH afterwards from the runoff come back and post the numbers
And yours are bigger then mine
…you guys and this plant porn has me so envious. My girls are just 16-18in and still look like the charlie brown tree:joy:
I’ll be starting a new grow with 9 autos sometime next week. I’ll try to find the time to start a journal so anyone who wants to can follow along. Over the years I’ve learned what works for me pretty well.
@Waldy178
How many ppms total are in the intake of what you’re feeding your plant? (Meaning what’s the measurement of your feed solution in ppms)
Looks like I got to put some money up to bail you out a trim jail on that one. What strain of seed you going to use. I’ve been hearing the green crack is a fun Auto to grow.
I have a shit ton of seeds.
1541ppm
That’s way too high my friend. You need to get that runoff PPM down below 1000 PPM you’re not going to be able to do that feeding at 1541 PPM
I would feed them at 165 PPM for the next two feeds at least to get those numbers down. I would add some extra runoff as well. Once you feed them again document your numbers. You’re probably only going to drop till about 1300 PPM the first runoff your second runoff should drop to a 1100
Your pH should drop too. Definitely wouldn’t put no more Cal mag. Cal mag will not needed can do a lot more harm than good.
If you want post your numbers I’ll be happy to assist. I’m not a pro but I sure know about accidentally overfeeding and what to do about it. ![]()
Im just thinking it may be the meter being it so old and probably not calibrated…i just odered one should get by Monday. Thanks for the input always appreciated
@Waldy178
It very well could be your meter. Good meters calibrated regularly is your best friend. If you come to find out those numbers are correct they’re definitely dangerously high.
Sounds like you know what you’re doing but basically the only way to get them down is to run it out. Feeding at 165 PPM or 335EC is an incredibly small amount we’re talking drops of each base nutrient.
Good luck if we can assist we will ![]()
My next run will be
2 ManBearAlienPigs
2 Samsquanch OG’s
2 Sour Stomper x Forum Stompers
Above all Mephisto Genetics autos
2 Froot by the Foots by Atlas Seeds
And
1 Wedding Cake by ILGM
I usually have at least 1 ILGM Wedding Cake in every grow, it’s one of my all time favorites!
What’s good about it?
Have you ever done the Do-Si-Dos or GSCE by ILGM?
I’ve never grown the Do-Si-Do, but I’ve done tons of the ILGM GSCE, both the photo and auto versions. It’s been a while though, so I should think about picking up some more of those seeds sometime.
The ILGM Wedding Cake autos always do really well for me, and the buds are potent. It’s got a very diesely smell and the high lasts longer than most other strains I’ve grown.
I got plenty of the GSCE and DoSidos autos only. If you need any of those too and you wanted to trade some I’d be happy to do it if you had autos
@Cap_Ron
Do-Si-Dos girl’s main stem and all the other stems extending off of it are purple now. Her leaves are about 30% better in drooping yet still drooping. Her leaves have taken on a whole new look. To the best of my knowledge the purpling is a defense mechanism the plant displays for too much light I could be wrong.
I’ve been running her off each feed by about a gallon extra of what I normally do.
Check these leaves out
@Cap_Ron
Big girl just keeps on trucking. She’s been in taking 750EC for almost 2 weeks now and a runoff’s been about an average of 950 EC she’s still a nice dark shade of green fattening up slowly. Just got done feeding her…
IN
EC 747
Ppms 371
pH 6.11
OUT
EC 960
PPM 48
pH 6.40
Like I said her numbers have hit the mark every single day for the last two weeks which for her not throwing in some kind of weird number day is unusual. Should I keep her at EC 750 or should I push the envelope and give her more? Happy Saturday
The big girl looks great, you can keep her feedings right where you’re at to play things safe, or If you want to push her a bit harder, I’d do very small increases. Like maybe 50EC at a time, with at least 3 feedings with good runoff between the increases.
Do you have input and runoff numbers for the DoSiDo? She looks hungry and possibly a little calcium deficient.
Red/purple stems are very difficult to diagnose because these days it’s just a genetic trait in a lot of popular strains. Some people say it can be a few different deficiencies, some say light/heat stress, but many say it’s fairly normal. I’ve had it happen to a few of my autos, but it never seemed to do any harm, and I never took any steps to correct it.
Happy Saturday to you too!
Keep in mind she had the fully charged soil she just went into last week so I don’t know how good these numbers are going to be to you but yes I did keep some numbers here you go… I’m sure you don’t remember but right before you went into trim jail she was kicking out run off EC 5000
8/15
IN
EC 584
PPM 292
pH 6.63
OUT
EC 3740
PPM 1890
pH 5.81
8/17
IN
Flushed with 1 gallon of RO water to drain down charge on soil. No numbers collected
8/19
IN base nutrients only
EC 448
PPM 198
pH 6.0
OUT
EC 2390
PPM 1200
pH 6.4
I’m getting the super charge ran off as efficiently and quickly as possible so I can get back to numbers that are real and be able to feed her properly. She’s got 15% Coco in her that was buffered so I can see at some point in time her becoming deficient for calcium and magnesium. And I agree the leaves definitely look calcium deficient from other images that I’ve compared them to.
This girl’s always been a very slow eater because she was in that half gallon pot. Now that I’ve transplanted to a 3 gallon pot she’s taking two to three days to dry out before ready for feed.
With that said I will be feeding her in the next couple of days but I will be preparing her food tonight. I’ve got general hydronics Cali magic. I’ve only had to use it a couple of times. Basically bought it to buffer the coco.
With all that said that’s about the current update with her for the last 3 or 4 days. Was having a 2390 EC I was going to skip any type of flush prior to feeding her this time and simply feed her bass nutrients with extra runoff …
What do you think would be best for her? She’s definitely a fighter that she’s been sick for 2 weeks now. She was about a foot away from my heater that was not pointing to her or oscillating around her however just to rule out too much heat I moved her days ago to the front so I can just unzip and work on her
