First time grower (of anything) need help with my babies

All right, I’m a new grower And these are from some seeds I got from some jealousy bud from jk distro I have no idea if they use photo or auto but the smaller plant is iron giant I I planted that 13 days prior to tallboy under a 20 W grow light until my grow tent and 100w came in I got the vivo 2x4 kit with the exhaust and all that good stuff and the end of this week I’ll have the advanced nutrients starter kit coming in to hold off till I get some other stuff but right now I’m Noticing spots on iron giant, Do I have pests? Also, I should know it’s been one hell of a roller coaster with iron giant I planted upright with a taproot of 1 inch overnight surprisingly and I check on her two days later and no growth so I mess a little bit with the soil to discover she’s growing upside down. I cracked the issue, but I’ve noticed her features are very tiny compared to the one I germinated and planted three days after. I’m stumped but I have enough back ups but I’d love my fist plant to make it and be as healthy at all costs.

Nothing wrong with your seedlings. Some funny looking leaves is normal.

Best advice I can give you is, that’s ALOT of plants. Run advance nutrients in coco, monitor ppm in and out, DO NOT PH advance nutrients.

Your plants are looking very nice as they start out. Sometimes little spotting areas can happen with pests, I have noticed in mine that the thrips and fungus gnats are more common in my foxfarms soils, and they usually attack the outside edge of the leaves first but will chomp on it anywhere. Have you found any little green winged bugs in there? They are incredibly small.

I appreciate it yeah I’m gonna choose from the keepers got them all from bag seed which brings me to my next question how many Plants Can comfortably fit in a 4 x 2 also what should I do for flower as far as watts I know 100 won’t Yield me the best results cause right now I’m running the one 100w

Get yourself some ladybugs and turn them loose in your tent. They will stay in there with your plants the entire grow. Get them from your local hydroponic store.

I have not found any bugs I keep it pretty ventilated and have a fan circulating air also gave the tent a mist of captain jacks neem oil a few days ago didn’t do it directly cause I didn’t know how my youngins would react but I knew I had to get some ipm going till I can get some better products however, the first plant with the spots was in an uncontrolled environment for the longest, but did have saran wrap as humidity dome.

Thats good. Might be spots from the spray if it was done under the light, otherwise just keep an eye on them, they look great :+1:

So these are some of the products that I picked up just to have before I picked out what I wanted I’ve only been using the plant food once 16th ratio and only once however, I did do a test and put a little bit in with the second one when it was germinating and it seems to be doing amazing I haven’t use the compost I figured if I didn’t have anything by the time I repotted I’d use it then would this be a good product to use or should I stay away from it? Also I’m pleased with the Mother Earth soil I did some research before I bought it and saw it compared well with happy frog.

If using AN with Mother Earth soil should I wait like 5-6 weeks to feed nutes also should I just do 1/4 recommended dose since it’s best with coco or hydro and not soil?

Depends on how fast the plant grows but 3-4 weeks then you can probably start the nutes at 1/2.

Gave them a watering last night let the medium dry for about day or two. So I’ve been really reluctant to repot trying to decide if 3 gallon pot will be good enough. This is a hybrid strain from what I’ve researched medium grow. So I have a few questions At what point should I repot? Also if I top and train my plants how many would I be able to fit in my 2 x 4 comfortably? Just bag seed so I don’t know how many females to males I have so I’m reluctant to start tossing plants but I’m worried they’re gonna get too big before I can even tell gender I have heart set to at least 4 plants Honestly, did not expect every seed to germinate in every seedling to live for my first grow, but I’ve heard jealousy can be pretty resilient of a strain So maybe that’s helping but another question I found some Coco pro mix in my local store. Should I repot the soil into Coco or is that a no no should I just stick with the soil? I’ve been using to repot? Last question How many watts LED do I need to run for a full tent/bloom? Right now it’s under the VIVOSUN vs1000 which I’ve heard is full spectrum but one 100wtt light sure isn’t gonna give be the buds I’m looking for is it?

Hey brother, sorry for the late response!

If these are bag seed, about half (should) be males. So you may lose half… which would mean wasted soil for the males? If you’re okay with that.

I would say transplant them all and when they turn male get rid of them, good hands on learning.

Lighting will generally be around 40 watts per square foot. 2x4 will be 8sqft so 300-400 watts with wall to wall plants would be good. Cannabis will grow with less but not at its best it could be.

So I think you should transplant and grow them out, it will be a great learning experience of light intensity, temperature, humidity, PH and feeding schedules. Once you have your first grow under your belt you will be more confident and know what to expect.

So yesterday I transplanted and this is what I woke up to I put 1ml nutes in 1leader bottle and shared it between all of them so I feel like if it was the nutes the younger ones that I fed a little extra last week would be worse off. Is this transplant shock or under/overwatering my lights turn off in 30 minutes should I do anything now or wait

Probably a combination of shock and bed time with the lights going off soon.

How’s your ph? It looks a little off to me.

Still working on getting a ph/ppm reader but I’ve been using spring water and the one of the nutes I used has a “ph perfect technology”

If you’re using AN nutes you won’t need to ph, but only use AN.

Another possibility now that I think about it last night I didn’t want to drown them because the root ball still had just a tad bit of moisture in it so I only watered half the pot which is stupid because everything I’ve seen has said water till there’s a little runoff

Watering to a little runoff is good practice as long as you give it enough time to dry up in between waterings.

Looking much better however I noticed the bottom leaves are rough to the touch but then again I’ve never felt what it feels like should it be coarse like that?

No they should be smooth. Youll have to wait until your ph meter comes in and test runoff ph. I’m willing to bet that’s your problem. I would just let them ride until you have one.
