The reason I posted in grow support for autos is that what I am going to try first. The seeds have germinated and broke the surface just yesterday. I have them currently under a grow light with domed pint size pots. I probably should have started them in their forever homes but they seem happy. Using a dropper to water (not wanting to make the mistake of over watering)

Can/should I move them to the tent? They need 70 degrees and ~80% humidity, right? How much VPD do they need? Should the lights run 24/7 or 18/6 per day?

Thanks in advance.

I have near identical set up. I love it. Easy to drive. Set vpd on exhaust and humidity, set Evo 3 up to top of tent, dial in intensity, keep t3 up with water.

Gonna follow along.

I set my vpd to .8 and DLI to about 12. Water with distilled water and eye dropper around it a bit. Also I spritz the inside of dome and top, as mine has holes. I do this a two-three times a day.I take my dome off as soon as I see leaves. New grower to. Been working for me.

Just had seedling break ground today in an ACI 2x2.

Also wanted to add I’ve been starting my seeds in distilled water, once they sink (so far I’ve seen the tail try to come out) I put in the pot they are staying in.

@Flatnut

Thank you for the response! You are just what I need right now. Just turned on the tent and all devices are working.

What mode are you using? Schedule, cycle, VPD, auto? I set it at auto and set some triggers, but not sure of what I am doing or what the results will

Edited because you already answered my question. By all means, please do follow along. I’ll post pics and all other stuff.

Congrats on getting set up, going to take a lil playing around to get enviroment dialed in but its fairly easy to do, I use the 75 iirc plug in cords, does not look they available any more.

@T-ray I ran mine a few days before setting anything inside. I use vpd for the humidifier and exhaust. Cycle for fans. Schedule for lights.

My temps run hot as I’m in a loft. Bigger AC in budget for next year.

For seedlings I would recommend the temps be around 78-85 especially growing autos, they need a great start to produce a good yield :love_you_gesture:

I’m trying to get the VPS at a target of 1.1 and adjusting all the devices. I got close at one point but now closer to 2.0.

Port 4 is the humidifier and is set to target VPD mode of 1.1 with a minimum off value of 2 and a maximum on value of 10. Ports 5 and 7 are oscillating fans set on cycle for on 30 minutes and off 15 with a min value of 0 and a max of 5. Port 6 is the grow light and that dude gets hot. I have it set to On mode between 5Am and midnight at a value of 4. Port 8 is the ventilation system which in VDP mode with a targeted low value of .2 and a high target of 1.2. Also have the bottom tent vents cracked open. I’ve played around with the settings on all the devices land can’t get the VPD down below 1.9. Lung room is a small west facing bedroom but I have black out curtains to block some of the heat, but it’s crazy hot and humid outside. The ambient temp and humidity in the room is 78 degrees and 49 % RH.

Any tips on device settings or any other advice to get the environment in the tent good for seedlings?

I haven’t used any of the automation. First thing I had to do was rename all my ports. I’m a stoner and get confused sometimes.

Here’s my humidifier and exhaust settings. I don’t use an automated setting. For seedling I set my min exhaust at 3 and my humidifier I turn up to usually max. Like @OGIncognito said they like it warm and muggy.

I don’t really run oci fans till they lose the dome

On my light I sent all the way to top, then lowered intensity using phototone as a rough reference to get a 12ish DLI. All this I got from kinda following along in here. I had to dig for some stuff like lights. Do you want a dynamic light setting or a static. I choose static for this tent. My 2x2 is dynamic.

You got the pro plus nice.

If you figure out a more efficient way my man lemme know.

So to answer your vpd question. I set it to vpd under the port I want to run it. Exhaust/humidity. What I’ve been doing is you want 1.1 vpd. I set .2 tolerance each direction. This is my baseline. Sometimes I have to fudge it, especially 100 degrees days. More so on my visosun tent.

Thanks bro. I’m a double dipper - meaning I like good bourbon and weed, so I can relate. Great advice on renaming and I didn’t know you could do that. I had to trace the UIS wires today to figure out what port was what, then I realized the view in the app had a little image of the type of device it recognized (duh).

I’m going to try your setting and see what happens.

Bump em up if you want a 1.1.

Click on the port, hit gear up top, go to port. Rename

Right on. Hope it helps. I’m new to man, just sharing whats kinda been working for this cat.

Haha. Ya you got it figured out. Good.

@Flatnut

How much air are letting in the tent? Do you have the bottom vents wide open or other?

For seedling and germ I leave them closed. Seems if I crack a vent I lose humidity.

@Flatnut improvement! Closed the vents except a small opening and turned the OCI fans on low (1). kPa came way down and humidity going up.

Tail chasing (too many triggers?)?

I run one TEMP/RH/VPD for flower crown setting tent control.

Lights OFF (I need AirConditioned Lung Room)
The others don’t matter, just give bigger picture.

Temp and RH confirmed with secondary device.
With lights ON, , at temps,
IR gun used to measure leaf temp (set VPD offset, in AC-I controller software).

Seedlings and clones Love dome life.
Then add devices and figure their required control settings.
Full Meal Deal, Super Sized.
Congrats.
