New To The Community, First Grow Journey

For my first grow I’ll be planting a LSD auto bean from Herbies. The set up I’m using is the 4x4 AC Infinity tent, controller 67, 6-inch inline exhaust fan, 6-inch carbon filter, both the A6 & S6 clip fans, and for the light I went with Vevor’s 400W option marketed for 4x4 size tents. Everything is connected to my controller, except for my 2-gallon smart humidifier. I can control that with my phone though so it’s cool. I also have a smart thermometer outside of my tent, which I can be alerted on my phone to adjust the tent accordingly. I have a ph meter, buffer solution, ph up, and ph down. For nutrients, I chose the GH trio pack. As far as additives, I only have Mother Earth’s Root Booster as of right now.

I started my germination process using the paper towel method. After 48 hours, I checked and the taproot was showing. I dropped it into my layered soil- 1/3 happy frog on top, and 2/3 ocean forest on the bottom.

48 hours later I checked, and the seedling started to rise above the soil. It’s officially day 1!!! There was a small piece of wood on top of it which I carefully removed. I watered it using ph’d distilled water, as the soil should have enough nutrients for this stage

This is day 3, the seedling grew taller, and started to lean a little. When I initially planted it, I left about an inch and a half below the rim so the soil could settle. I used this extra room to add more soil to stabilize the stem.

We’re at day 6 now, and the second set of leaves are showing! That means we’re growing!!

Welcome to the forum @HeadBandClan looks like you’re off to a good start. Besides your ph meter do you have an Ec/ppm meter?

:handshake: I forgot to mention I have a 5-In-1 ph meter. I haven’t gotten into the other modes yet, only the ph since i’ve been watering my seedling. This one is from amazon, I plan to purchase one from a reputable brand next week. Im stuck between the ACI and the Vivosun meters.

48 hours later! I’m pretty sure she was a lighter shade of green 2 days ago, she seems to have gotten darker. Is that something to worry about?
