Not hard to make, but knowledge is helpful.
I was going to use my own, but usually only comes out about 150 proof, so didn’t think that was strong enough for qwet.
Speaking of, doing my first run, in the evaporation stage now, about 12 hours in.
Question; I started with 6.4 oz of black widow mostly bud but some trim also, split it up between 4 quart jars, used a whole 1.75 liter bottle of 190 between the 4 mason jars, one filter in my magicial plunger, two filters through coffee filters, last one came out very clean, mostly yellowish color with a hint of green.
But my question is does that sound like about the correct amount of 190 for that amount of weed?

You only need enough alcohol to barely cover the weed

I now want the external pump, been using the vacuum pump on the source turbo. Running the oil thru the slow and mid filters is painful. Other than that, I love my machine, runs a lot.

I received my Source Turbo, today. I’m somewhat disappointed with no manual, nor hoses for suction of flask. I expected more for my money.

I believe when I got mine there were no attachments. They were add ons on the site. Seems the funnels are on back order. I did manage to get their vacuum hose with the adapter for the built in vacuum. I then ordered some filters and funnel. I believe I did get a manual. Google the instructions, you have to set the elevation of your location by depressing the only button available a certain amount of times before operating.

I’ve never used a Buchner funnel: two passes through a cone coffee filter and the result is fantastic.

I did something a little different

Back in the dark ages, I took a year of organic chemistry (orgasmic come-istry, as I called it). Applying a light coating of petroleum helps seal connections during distillation, I recall.

A couple more, fairly explanatory shots

The first batch is on its way! I did two washes and added first wash to crucible, filling to volume with the second wash.

Haven’t even needed the suit…

…Yet!!

A little over 2.5 hours in. At the 1.5 hour mark, I interrupted the process and added the remainder of the second extract. I just checked and I will continue until it thickens a bit more

Letting it cool before I transfer to green silicone cake pan

I would get it out before it cools. It’s a lot easier.

Crucible is still pretty warm

That looks insane!!! So awesome!!! I don’t know where to begin on purchasing equipment for this. I’m in a studio apartment that’s so full of stuff :joy:.

We are going with either or all

  1. freezing the bud and the Everclear separately for a day or two, then mixing and shaking 🫨

  2. Decarb bud, soak in Everclear for about two weeks to four weeks

  3. NUGSMASHER MINI for all vape and dab purposes

:joy::joy::joy:

I have to get a good harvest for that though :joy:
