Can you recut a clone?

I have clones that I cut a week ago and i noticed that I may have left the stems too long preventing the water from hitting the node. Im seven days in with no sign of roots. Can I cut the stems shorter at this point and if so should I dip them again in cloning gel?

Not a cloner but I’ve heard of saving cuttings in the fridge for weeks before using them so I don’t see why you would have a problem since it’s been in water

Ambient and nutrient solution temps for me around 78-80 with an RH of 65-70%. I mist the leaves until roots are showing. How far is your stem from the solution. Barely touching the bubbling surface?

I cloned these in a cheap cloner but have used water or soil. They went about 8-10 days with no roots until I got the temps in check.

To increase the success rate of your diy cloner, add an atomizer in it on a timer (30 mins to an hour on/ 30 minutes to an hour off).

Also, if you have an air stone in it, add 1-2 more. You want to insure water is very turbulent.

You can also make that cloner into (at least) a 30 site cloner if all other attributes are meet from above mentioned criteria.
