Hello everyone! Don’t be fooled by SirBuddy, I’m Amy. This growing experience and reading this excellent Forum has reduced me from a 58 year old to an approximate 10 year old in many ways. Anyway, these 3, four day old babies are my current project/focus. My last project of 6 found seeds all died due to my “Loving them to death” and over H2Oing them. Also, I hadn’t found you all. Now that I have, I have a question. I say, a question now yet I’m sure there are more that my subconscious mind is already coming up with, lol.
Please keep in mind that I live on the 18th floor with my apartment windows facing South West. In about a month, without AC, it can get to well above 85° with large amounts of light from about 9:30 am to night time.
Ok, here is my question: Since I live in a 400 SF apartment I think that a Grow Tent would be a wise purchase. I know me and without one I’ll keep geminating until I live in a jungle. I’m pretty good at farming fields to house plants but that does not include weed. Ever since I’ve started growing this GOD plant, this particular strain being Bear Dance, has truly benefited my mental health which has been stuck in grief for some time. Hopefully, all that is waxing.
Another reason that I feel a grow tent would be a wise investment is because of the odor of these plants down the road when they are doing their thing around the budding period. I planned on only having 2 plants but they all germinated and are looking ok to me and now have 3. I can get rid of one I’m sure or just grow it outside of the tent. Is a 27x27x64 any better than a 24x24x50? Will it’s exhaust and carbon filter really decrease “the smell” ? I’m looking at the Tiger Farmer complete tent systems.
Any and all opinions/advice/answers are quite welcomed!

If you have the space a 2x4 tent is a prime space for 2 healthy plants.
A filter and exhaust fan is a must to keep odors under control. Though I don’t run one here in my home I also dont get hardly any company. SO I place some air fresheners with eucalyptus oil and somewhat mask the smell with another piney resinous smell.

My only advise…that 2x4 tent is gonna get real small real quick if you do stick with this hobby 
My tent is just a little bigger than 2x4 (28" x 55" x 80"). I run 2 plants. But I produce way more flower every 4 months or so than my spouse and I can possibly use. In addition to your tent, you’ll have buckets, supplies, etc. to tuck into some corner of your apt.
I’ve made the decision to go with a 2x4. That too will get small. I’m used to caring for a 7 acre yard, lawn, and garden.

Lol! Maybe turning the entire apartment into a grow room would work? But then again, the smell is the main reason I’m going with a tent. Is there anything out there for sale to filter a room?
Make sure it is as tall as you can get so you don’t hopefully run into height issues. I’ve seen some 2x4’s that are like only 60” tall. And also, 2 good plants will give you plenty of bud. I just grew one gelato in my 2x4 under an hlg 350r light, and got 11 ounces of dry, cured buds.
Lol, i did that in my early days…not understanding how pungent the aroma would be and how it would permeate every single thing in the living space…
i eventually got the message when my manager called me into her office to inform me that my colleagues had mentioned the smell of weed around my cube…apparently eminating from my work clothes lol!

I say if you’re going to buy a 2x4 you may as well get the 4x4
You won’t have to worry about overcrowding and it’s only two more feet two feet inside of a tent is like 2 miles.
The difference between a 2x4 and a 4X4 is day and night
I had a 2x4 tent that I kept my jacket and umbrella in. I gave it to my kid for his hamster

All depends on your needs. Me and the wife take 6 weeks to burn through a zip so a 2x4 is all we need. As others said that size fills up quick. If you have 3 plants in there you’ll need to run 2 or 3 gallon pots. If you go up to 5 gallon pots you’ll only want two plants un there.
who wouldn’t want that
