Who is Eric Cartman's Father? At the end of this grow, you will know the answer!

Hope everyone had a great Turkey Day!

So I’m doing something a little different for this grow. Instead of 8 full size plants (4 in the closet, 2 in the big tent, and 2 in the small tent), I’m only doing 6 full size plants in the closet and the small tent, and I’m going to use the big tent for a bunch of small plants.

The 6 full size girls will go into 7 gal fabric pots, and the small ones will go into 1 gal fabric pots.

The grow is in Coco, and I’m also making a slight change in my base nutrients. In my previous coco grows I’ve just used my regular Advanced Nutrients Connoisseur line, and added cal/mag with every feeding to satisfy the coco. This time I decided to use one of the base nutrient lines from AN that’s made specifically for coco. Aside from having plenty of calcium and magnesium in it so I won’t need to use cal/mag, it also has a couple of extra forms of iron, and less potassium. I was listening to a podcast a couple of months ago with Dr MJ Coco, and I heard him explain why plants in coco sometimes experience potassium toxicity, and then I recently got an email from Advanced Nutrients about their coco specific products and sure enough it had the same information I heard talked about on that podcast. That convinced me it would make sense to give it a try. Everything else in my feedings will stay the same, just a different variety of base nutrient.

Ok, so I didn’t really know how many small plants I’ll be able to fit in the tent, but I want it to be full, so I started way too many seeds, lol. The fun part will be choosing which lucky 6 will get a 7 gal pot to live in, and which ones are destined to be neutered by 1 gal pots!

I started 22 auto seeds, 1 each of the following.

Yeti Wedding by Graysin Farms
Zkittlez by ILGM

The rest are all Mephisto Genetics.

ManBearAlienPig
24 Carat
Sour Orange Diesel Kush (S.O.D.K.)
Sour Stomper
Double Grape
Super Orange Haze
Walter White
4 Assed Monkey
3 Wok OG
Skywalker
Alien vs Triangle
3 Bears OG
Gold Glue
Strawberry Nuggets

Next 6 are Mephisto Freebies

Sour Stomper x Forum Stomper
Toof Decay x Walter White
El Chemi Kiwi x Northern Cheese Haze
Creme De La Chem (CDLC) x 3 Bears OG
(CDLC x Sour Stomper) x Skywalker

Several of these seeds were at least 4 years old, so I was expecting to maybe have some mixed results, but it turned out 21 out of the 22 sprouted. The 3 Bears OG was a dud, and it’s looking like the Strawberry Nuggets isn’t doing very well, so I think I’ll end up with 20 all together.

I’m excited for the Yeti Wedding by Graysin, so she’s going into a 7 gal pot, but the other 5 are going to have to earn that privilege with vigor. Whoever shows the best growth and overall potential will earn a big pot.

I don’t think I’ll be able to keep the remaining 14 in the tent, even in 1 gal pots, so they’ll be competing just to see who gets to live and who I have to kill off, lol. I’m thinking 10 might be the max, but we’ll find out soon enough. Then the big question will be, what will yield more from that tent, 2 big plants, or 10 small ones?

Not much to show yet. I started soaking seeds Sunday. Planted directly in solo cups at 1:00pm Monday, and 21 out of 22 were above ground before I went to bed last night.

So today was day 2 above ground.

These little ones got their 2nd feeding this morning. Very low strength. Yesterday morning they got 400EC, and I went up to 475EC today. I’ll continue to go up by 50 to 75 every day now until I hit around 750 to 800, then I’ll keep it there until after the transplant.

I decided to kill off the Strawberry Nuggets. In a normal grow I would have had far more patience with her, and she might have done fine with a little TLC, but considering that I have more plants in this grow than I’m going to be able to keep I have a quick trigger finger, lol. This is what she looked like this morning on day 3.

I also had to reorganize things in the tent a bit. The seedlings weren’t getting enough of a breeze with the one little stationary clip on fan, so I moved things around and made just enough space to stuff a little oscillating fan in there. I’m a firm believer that a breeze is a tremendous benefit to new seedlings and makes for much stronger stalks and stems.

Back to coir, break time’s over! Looks like there off to a great start!
The topic title sounds like a Jerry Springer episode where Liane’s asking “who is my baby daddy?” Lol, loving it… can’t wait for the reveal ending

How big is your big tent? If it’s a 4x4, you should be able to get all 14 in there, 4 rows, a row of 4, row of 3, row of 4, row of 3. Each plant would have a square foot as its footprint.
I’ve had 9 in my 4x4, in 3 or 4 gallon pots. Tight squeeze, a PITA to reach in and water the ones in the back, but totally worth it! Following to see how you do, I’m going to have 7 in 1-gallon pots once I transplant my 4 seedlings.

It’s a 2 1/2 x 5, but the actual measurements are little bigger, it’s 62" long, 32" wide, and 86" high. I still need space in there for fans and a heater though.

ok, 3 rows, 5-4-5!

Here was what mine looked like…

I put braces in to prevent suckage due to negative pressure. A 4x4 should be a 48"x48", not a 40"x40"!

Sorry for the lack of updates, things have been hectic here the last week or two.

So the big girls from the last grow are 5 days into drying, so things will get more hectic for me shortly, lol.

The little kids didn’t have the best seedling stage ever, but they came through ok. This was shortly before transplant time.

Everything prepped for transplant day.

You guys know the technique already!

End of transplant day, which was Dec 2nd.

So the 6 winners in the bid for the 7 gallon homes were

Yeti Wedding
3 Wok OG
Alien vs Triangle
Creme De La Chem x 3 Bears OG
Toof Decay x Walter White
CDLC x Sour Stomper x Skywalker

Of the 16 left that were going in 1 gal pots, only 12 are still around. The 3 Bear OG didn’t germinate, and I killed off the Strawberry Nuggets, 3B x Mango Smile, and the Skywalker because they were slackers and lagging behind the bunch.

Here’s a bit of growers irony, lol. The 3 Bears OG didn’t germinate, and the Skywalker looked like shit so I killed her. Currently the best looking girl in the whole bunch is the 3 Wok OG, and her parents are 3 Bears OG and Skywalker, lol.

This morning after their feedings.

Excellent! Congratulations on both harvest and new beginnings. I look at the baby’s and their so innocent and carefree but you know in a week or so they will become increasingly demanding and belligerent when they don’t get what they want!! Ahh but revenge is ours in the end :evergreen_tree: :fire:
Good to see the 3 Wok OG is making something of herself despite her parents, shows what a nurturing environment can do !

I didn’t realize quite what a pain in the ass this was going to be, lol. Things will get much easier for me as soon as the girls from the last grow are trimmed and I have a tent free to move these little one gallon girls out of the closet. For now, every morning and every evening I take the 12 little ones out, but once I have them on the table for feedings, I have no space to take the girls in 7 gal pots out, so I’m having to get in the closet and take care of them in there. My knees, ankles, and feet are not very happy about that, lol.

So here’s the 12 in the one gallon pots in a group shot.

And in pairs of two!

So after I get them out and fed, then I have to pull out the milk crates they sit on to make room for me to get in there and take care of the big pot girls.

Group shot of big pots.

And individual pics.

Lyra hanging out under the table wondering what the green things need that’s more important to me than rubbing her belly, lol.

And everyone back in their place until tonight when we have to do it all again!
