When do you add Silica?

Just curious, when does everyone start adding silica? We plan to use Armor Si with this run. Any advice?

They are so happy and about 10 days old now. We will start LST to all the ladies as well.

I wait until all of my veg training has been completed. Silica can significantly improve cell structure such that it stiffens a plant and makes training difficult without splitting nodes and so on.

100% agree with @MidwestGuy

I run the minimum dose of silica from first feeding to last. As long as you do training in veg the plants remain supple.

I add all the way if no training. I agree if going to bend them around that silica stiffens them and they snap easier. I add 1/3dose or so till im am going up with them then all the way to end. Just me.

I usually start with a 1/2 strength dose when I first top and clean up (I mainly run manifolds) when they reach 5 nodes. I hold off while training, and then resume full strength when I have the desired layout/ structure.

Normal feed for me in veg is 7ml/gal once a week and 5/gal twice a week in flower as they get heavy super thirsty.

I grow in hydro, to only one, and do almost zero training. I let them grow wild and just keep them groomed for maximum light penitration.
I start silica on day one of nutes and feed until the end at 3ml per gallon.
Plants are crazy strong.
