Is this a good option for adding Silica to your plants? what are you guy’s using?
Many of us are using silica. The products are pretty much all the same if from a reputable company,
Silica is good for plants…I use Success Nutrients version. Important that you add it first and mix it well before adding other nutes.
It’s probably fine. I use TPS
Thank you.
Thanks for the info.
Thank you
I think im going with this brand after researching. thank you.
Do you stop using this a couple a weeks before harvest?
Yes. Also it’s the first supplement you add to the water. Nutes after.
Sounds good
I use Monosilicic acid instead of silica derived from potassium silicate. Same stuff, different chemical composition. MSA is more readily bioavailable, so you can add it and see results sooner rather than later. If you’re diligent about adding the silica once a week or so, it won’t matter what kind of silica you use.
I’m starting my 2nd grow trying autos this time (1 Bruce Banner started after 3 days, still waiting on a Runtz) Do any of you all use Rhino Skin? Also, do you add silica from start to finish?
@sandyC (my mother’s name and last initial) Don’t know rhino skin, but most suggest stopping silica a couple weeks before harvest…but do start using it on feed 1.
What does the silica do for the plant???
Strengthens stems helps plants fight off pests really good for plant growth there’s a few more its just great to add to your garden.
My girls do lean a hell of a lot in late flower, no pests so far. Might be better than YOYO’S??
Yea no more yoyo’s and bamboo sticks
Might be worth it just for that. Had a dozen yoyo’s hanging everywhich way last couple of grows LOL
