Understanding Fox Farm feeding schedule

What i did when i flushed, because FFOF will carry into flower about 5 weeks and no nutes i started at week 7 flush. I mixed 1gallon of water with 2 tsp. sledgehammer poured it in and let it sit for an hour. Then poured 3 gals of ph’d plain water in one at a time and checked the ph and runoff of each one and recorded them. then i took 1 gal. of water with FF Trio ph’d it to 6.5 ckecked the PPM and poured it in. then checked the PH and PPM. I will do one more flush before i harvest. You will get different answers to this question every one does it different. Hope i didn’t confuse you to much.

@Crapmostank; Those having issues after flushes likely aren’t adding the feed back in after the flush or not flushing out the sledgehammer. With sledgehammer, I pour it in the soil and let it sit for about an hour then rinse the sledgehammer out with 5 gallons or so. Then the last gallon that goes in is my nutrient solution. Here is the post by @BobbyDigital that i used.

Alright why do you check the pH and ppm of the sledgehammer runoff? Then why do you check the runoff again after putting the trio in there?

thats the way i do it to get an idea of what my plants need

Thanks for the info

Another question. If I’m using the FF trio at 1/2 of what it says do I measure the ppm on the chart at 1/2 as well? or do I try and match the ppm as shown even if using only 1/2 of the nutes?

Ppm is directly related to the amount of nutrients you add. Less nutrients; less ppm. More nutrients; more ppm. That’s why we check runoff ppm; to see how much feed is in the soil.

Like @BobbyDigital said. I just use the FF Trio so my numbers don’t match what FF says

Hey there I just got this dirty dozen and the feeding schedule(s) are confusing me. Do I refer to cultivation nation or part 2 feeding schedule or just the soil feeding schedule? Kind of at a loss. I’m using ocean forest soil as well

Isnt dirty dozen that big pack of fox farm? Liquid and dry? Look for fox farm soil schedule. Dirty dozen isnt cultivation nation thats different than dirty dozen. Dont dirty dozen have boomrang and microbrew and a few others w 3 jars of dry trio? Thats what came in mine. With ocean forest i just use ph water w calmag til 3 weeks then i start that chart i mention above. I hope this helped

Thank you. What’s the quality your getting out of using the combo of soil and nutes?

@Weddingcake1983 i get good quality, but it gets expensive. Well its expensive for me. I use the whole set. And even if use ff cultivation nation u still have to use brew roots and the others. I use calmag bc i use spring water bc my water makes my plants get yellow leaves. This time i have 6 autoflowers so they dt like a lot of nutes. My biggest problem is watering bc 2 are too big for this old lady to move. So i bottom feed when they get too big to move. The last 2 weeks of flush i have a young roommate so he puts them on a screen over a tote and i water that way. Some ppl say to flush some ppl say not to.

I just use the top 3 and the bottom 3 on the chart. But definitely do the flushes!!!

What’s going with leaves curling?

How high are your temps?

About 80 I know it’s high I just raised the lights

That’s not high at all unless we’re talking Celsius, lol. So we’re looking at out of wack ph, salt buildup or broadmites cause that issue. Need a ph and ppm read off from your runoff so we can eliminate things

Ok so ph checker. Digital. Thank god for local hydro store. Broad mites? That sounds bad. What is a solution?

Also I flushed with sledgehammer then strait water. About 2 gallons.

Did you pull run off numbers when you flushed?
