How tall should my plants be to transplant them? I wanted lots of roots though before i put in larger pot.

Personally I’ll never transplant an auto again they prefer to be in forever home from start some repot after the 3rd node appears
I don’t grow autos, but many say as soon as leaves touch sides of cup, transplant into forever pot. Others are having solo cup challenges.

I put all my seeds with tap roots in their forever home. Plants can experience transplant shock and may not recover so Autos you should always put in their forever home. Autos are on a strict timeline unique to it.
So I put clear domes and once the leaves touch, I remove them. I just spray the inside twice a day.

We had a grower here last week that had an auto begin to flower at 2 and a half weeks. The longest I’ve seen one go among growers here is 12 weeks.

Yeah I saw that as well. Mine is always by the 30th day above ground.

They only grow 12 weeks?
I was referring to the time for the plant to start the flowering process. They continue to mature flower for an additional 8 to 10 weeks.

Welcome to the community. I let a plant grow from Nov 13th, 2021 and I pulled her in April to May 2022. She produced beautiful flowers. Tons of amber.
Its better to put Autos in their forever home. We can’t stress this enough when we say Autos are on a very strict schedule with little wiggle room if you have problems. Autos really need to be grown by experienced growers due to experience.
Autos are a different breed.

Welcome to the community @Abby I would transfer the auto seedling from starter cup after 10 to 14 days to final home. Autos generally start flowering stage between 4 to 7 weeks.

@Abby Welcome to the Class!! I did start my autos in solo cups and transplanted as soon as I saw roots protruding from the holes I put in the bottom of the cup, like @beachglass stated the fan leaves were just over the cups sides. They went into 7 gal pots with soil and are currently nearing completion. Popped above ground on Feb 27 and at 106 days today are within a week to two-ish from completion. I’m on the far end of the auto spectrum. Good luck!!
