Transplant Auto Flower 🌸

I have 2 White Widow Autos going right now. One was a runt, the other grew fine. I’m growing in Purple Cow Soil (not sure I can recommend it). The plants started to flower last week. Almost immediately, both plants started fading like they needed nitrogen. I have never grown Autos before, but many runs with photos. I started them in 3 gallon pots (I was told this would be big enough). Since I wasn’t going to get much yield from the runt, I decided earlier to transplant it into a 5 gallon fabric pot. Do you guys think I should try the same thing with the other one? I’ve read that you shouldn’t transplant Autos at all, but my local hydro store said they do it all the time. The plant is almost 16" tall. Thanks in advance :green_heart::cherry_blossom::green_heart:

You grow photos, so I’m guessing you transplant those. How do those do after transplant?

The reason I ask, is I’d say if you’re good at transplanting photos, you’ll be good with autos. No different.

Also - what’s the risk / reward here? If the plant won’t make it without a transplant, I think definitely go for it.

I never have had any trouble with photos. I’m gonna go for it. The runt is doing fine so far. Thanks for the reassurance!

The runt before & after transplanting. It doesn’t seem to be shocked at all, maybe even gotten greener.

But this is what it looked like last week.

This is the bigger one from a couple of weeks ago. I transplanted it this morning.

This is what it looked like a couple of days ago. I’ll post a post transplant pic of it later.

I used Royal Gold Basement mix for the transplant. I’m not really happy about the Purple Cow.
