Hi guys ive been toying around with the thought of upgrading my light at the moment i have a 300watt or a 280 watt quantum board full spectrum grow light its from papp grow lights its been a really good light now the light im thinking about getting is a bloom plus 3000w it is 300 watts from the wall it has two drivers its a square shaped light its a quantum board LED grow light its dimmable they say its good for a 4×4 or a 5×5 or a 3×3 now my tent is 80×80×180 so mine is alittle over two foot wide and long in height its around 6ft the only reason why im thinking about doing this is want to get more of a even spread of light and with the square shaped light like the bloom plus 3000 px it seems like it would be perfect for my tent theres lots of good reviews and results that i have seen from other growers using them ,so i want ur opinion on the bloom plus px 3000 let me know if u think its overkill or if it would be right for mt tent
They work but so far on the bloom plus lots turn out not so happy. Makes bud and all but I don’t remember who had it but I wanna say someone had bloom plus and chips.burned out fast on the lights like 2 grows and had multiple chips burned out if ur gonna spend that much may as well try and get u a good light where if something happens they will have ur back to fix it quickly. Hlg is best at this practice. If any problems occur they get them strait fast. Had a bad driver on a 260xl and not even 3 days from when it blew I had another in mailbox ready to go. Super nice ppl to deal with and all. Costs a bit more out the door. Ut. O worries on if it is gonna be good or bad as I know it’s gonna be good. So far I cannot complain I have a 260 and a scorp diablo both on full blast right now 8 inch ac infinity exhaust on 2 or 3 and I run at 78 to 80 degree and 40 to 50 rh before with other lights I could. Ot get below 90 for the most part
I simply don’t trust these former burple makers. They have proven through the years that they are willing to lie to get sales. The only former burple maker that seems to be developing a good reputation is Spider Farmer.
See for me here in Australia hlg lights are very expensive and so are ac infinity lights so im trying to stay with in my budget i would buy another light like the one ive got but cant get another one maybe i mite look at a viparspectra 2500 xs series or something
Ive looked at alot of reviews about this light and its nothing but good reviews and results and i can see how its easier to burn out leds specially when u have to use a screwdriver to turn up ur power its pretty easy to over do it but the one im looking at is there px or xp series it there new and improved model it has the Samsung leds it comes with a dimmer knob now and i think they have given enough cable so u can have the drivers outside ur tent
I wouldn’t trust the reviews. I wrote a bad review for an Aglex burple light I bought a few years ago. The seller sent me several emails offering me money to change or delete my review. I reported the seller to Amazon for trying to manipulate their reviews.
These arent reviews on the sellers site or company site these are reviews from content creators that grow weed they do par readings and and other tests i wouldnt trust reviews off a companies site or of another sellers site im still looking at whats around for the money i want to spend
There’s a site called growdaddy(dot)com. Their lights look pretty damn good. Similar to Kingbrite that @Nicky likes.
I was gonna go this way until I found a ridiculous deal on 550 rspecs on ebay a few months ago.
If I were setting up another 4x8 I’d definitely be looking at these lights myself. Uses LM301h top bin diodes and meanwell drivers. Definitely worth a look man. Here’s a pic of 500w from the wall quantum board light for $369 shipped. A little more than the bloom+. Looks just like my 550’s. It will definitely power a 4x4 tent. I’m not sure about 300 from what I’ve learned on here.
Maybe @dbrn32 will chime in.
I will have alook at it but i will bet that it will be a lot more then that price here in Australia
Oh my bad bro. I assumed you were in the states sorry.
Na man a ac infinity light here is $900 where yous get them for $396 Australia is so much more expensive
Oh geez. Do they chaerge a lot for duties if you did get something from the states? I wonder what shipping is to aussie land.
Ouch…
Bummer on the light prices. Now with inflation, who knows what… by the way your grows are great…happy growing
Just the shipping alone is $149 i dont know why things are so expensive here it is stupid
Hell a seat of nikes will set you back $380 - #450
that’s insane! So amazon is your only option there?
Ebay Amazon,wish , AliExpress
Check out cutter electronics. They are more known as diy supplier, but im pretty sure he has some finished lights and kits to offer. More importantly, is right in your backyard.
I have 2 lights built myself using strips supplied by cutter. It was also expensive to get them here and long lead time, and i still have zero regrets. Cutter has very good products and should help you avoid any import fees or expensive shipping from US.
Australia has a lot of gold mines out in Victoria , I would like to go fishing in Australia are cage diving with the great whites sharks !
